I really like the price and the kind of no frills vibe of the interior. In fact the only negative thing I can think of is the ground clearance being 16". I have been following this model for years and the specs on thier website have changed like the wind. Maybe call I believe Jeremy at Xgrid in...
This is the hitch I run as well. Ironically the only way my trailer fits in my garage length wise is if I pull it off. Also it is convenient if you need another vehicle to recover trailer do to stadard ball mount. I believe it is rated to 5,000 pounds so not for heavier trailers.
I almost went with Jamin on the mid size but my weight limit was 3k dry. I was already committed to Trail Marker so I stayed with them.
I do admit I am really curious about the re design of the mid size. Very suprised there is not more interest that would have pushed Jamin to get one built. So...
Great update. Not sure why I mentioned insulation other then wondering if Jamin could build a mid size model for a bit less if it was designed in a way that could make it more 3.5 season to cover 15 degrees above freezing instead of what Xplores claim of -40 but maybe Jamin is at a point he...
If you check out the FB page on Xplores Raspy has posted a very honest run down on some issues in the new Xplores. Nothing earth shattering I and I only mention this because even if you could find a x145 for the same or similar price to the Kingdom mid size you might want to factor in a bit of...
Ludicrous is a big word? I guess folks have different reasons to take thier trailers into to cool back country places but sitting is not what I personally do when I get thier. I take in the epic scenery, ride my bike, kayak and hang with friends and family. Not sure that is macho. On thing we...
OGT or Off Grid Trailers is a Canadian company that sells small square top off road trailers. You know the little ones that you don't need a monster truck to pull 😉
That's ludicrous big guy. Of course assuming your not just joshing us. I myself am all about light weight. My bikes are light. My trailer is under 3k dry and it's a stand up with wet bath. Seen way to many big truck and trailers out clogging up the roads or trails thinking they can go off road...
The question of this string was when towing a tear drop size trailer which vehicle do you prefer. If your trailer is over 5,500 pounds totally loaded by all means a truck is best.
With all the hitches on the market I would hope this is not a deal killer for you as the Boreas chassis is second to none in these type of trailers. Lifetime warranty and all.
2000w inverter makes more sense for sure.
"600W Solar Capacity"
"Prep for large battery bank"
This kind of implies they are not sure how these first runs are going to be speced.
Time will tell but i would be weary of throwing down on one of these until you know exactly what your getting
I don't think the Pause is the nearest comparison. I personally think the Pauses are way to heavy and are over priced but just thier electronics alone separate it from this SG trailer.
Looking at the specs of this skinnyguy it states 600 watt solar capacity. Please tell me that means the...
I agree my statement about DYI may have been off topic. Not sure which used trailer with aluminum cage you can get for10 k that is not a Elkhart built nightmare? Maybe an example?
