12v edgestar fridge Cutoff, does power cord size matter?

Those clips aren’t very efficient at move amperage. There is plenty of evidence on Expo threads that talk about needing good gauge wire between the fridge and battery. For example, my Toyota Landcruiser has an OEM outlet in the back and I experienced similar issues with the factory fridge...

One of the beautiful things about the IGT is that you can change the legs depending on your setup. I rarely setup twice the same way, always finding ways to meet the camp layout or the number of people. It wouldn’t be as versatile if the legs didn’t detach. You’re point is valid though, and...

    WTB: DeLorme InReach (non-Garmin) Cradle/Mount

Thanks. I founds those and even ordered from a couple more who showed them and then claimed out of stock after ordering. I’ve already fabbed a mount to ride next to my iPad, mounted on a ram mount, but was hoping to find the cradle to keep it locked down.

    Arb 37 quart wiring suggestions

Oh, and whoever advise you about the long run was right. Even the rear factory cig plug in my landcruiser fused at 10amp was problematic. The high amperage on the small factory wire caused a lot of intermittent voltage cutoff issues on the fridge, even though it was rated for 10A

    Arb 37 quart wiring suggestions

I run a group 34 (~65 Ahr) and depending on ambient and load of contents, can run the fridge for about 24 and a bit The average hourly load of the fridge is something like 3-4 amp Hours in my setup and mid- voltage cutoff setting, which is enough for me between engine runs. It does use about...

    WTB: DeLorme InReach (non-Garmin) Cradle/Mount

Great idea. The last rep at Expo east was a dealer, so I’m not sure if that was truly Garmin... I’ll see if I can get a contact name from the vendor manager for ExPO.

    WTB: DeLorme InReach (non-Garmin) Cradle/Mount

Hello all, I’m looking for a Ram Mount for the last gen DeLorme inReach (not newer Garmin unit). Seems everybody I have contacted online doesn’t have one in stock (even if they initially take the order!) I’ll take either the powered mount or the non-powered. Even if it’s the cradle only...

Opinions on methods to carry 4 bikes on a 4Runner?

I’m not seeing anything that say you have to use the NV. You can use your Thule. Apparently Kubat bought that design from another company and it used to hold multiple brands.

Biggest team to take to Cape Lookout yet

Just the cost of the ferry ride. They charge by the foot! I’ve been over with my fully laden 100 series LC and towing our AT Chaser adventure trailer. No issues, just air down both the rig and trailer. Most people forget the trailer.

Was on another forum just now and came across something promising: Kuat Pivot. Looks like something I might dig further into!

Opinions on methods to carry 4 bikes on a 4Runner?

Of course if you mount the kids like that, you could transverse mount the bikes in the back seat. Very handy! And saves all kinds of other travel problems!

Opinions on methods to carry 4 bikes on a 4Runner?

It doesn’t suck to have 4 on the hitch with the Thule, but I’m not sure tilting it down is that easy with the weight of the bikes. I slide my first tray out a bit so I could still open the hatch on my land cruiser, but I don’t think a 4Runner opens the same. The bikes end up a little closely...

Alu-Cab Has Landed In The USA!

I’m thinking to have some walls built out of sail cloth or canvas similar to RTT material, closer to the shape of the fox wing tapered wall. I really like the space that it gives you at the bottom for storage of boxes and other stuff that gets offloaded from the truck during a stay. They would...

Is that some special adapter used to hang the BBQ box in the Jikaro table, or does it come with the table set? I’ve seen that mostly used with the SP fire pit, but not the BBQ box! Interesting! Been thinking to add the fire ring table, and this make it a bit more versatile.

    Cobra 75 WX ST

I had one die. Probably heat related... was working great and then I got a faint whiff of the blue smoke. Smell coming from the handset. Display worked, but no speaker. I bought another mostly because I just needed the handheld unit, but if it happens again I'll change to midland.
