Matt here is how i did the test, i drove the rover till gas light came on,and i made sure it was on for at least 5 miles on a flat road, then i filled up diesel 20 bucks Odo was reset to zero and drove it till the light came on for at least 5 miles on the flat road, and guess what 139.7...

20 bucks of diesel ( 4,07 a gallon ) will move my rover to 140 miles away :) at 75 mph . not bad for 7000 lb very non aerodynamic full time 4x4

very close sir, 75 mph at 1720 rpm , :) ( VS BEFORE AT 2600 RPM ) i LOVEEEEEEEEE THE WAY IT DRIVES NOW, exelent gas milage 50% less noise and heat , 6th gear is almost not needed unless i go over 70, shifts very smooth . and water temp is at minimum . ERIC

i agree 100% fixing it with common mechanic tools. or a land rover that has a real pull up hand break for all 4 wheels , not electronic lol

falling in love with your land rover is awesome , but how do u fall in love with one that doesn't have that character? i guess u dont, just lease and return :)

for me, fix it in the middle of Africa with minimum of resources .is what real land rover is, at least that's in my imagination just like any other land rover lover would think i guess. but it all comes down to were u go and what u do with your rover, be it new or old.
