    Keeping the Misses happy

good point... my GF doesn't care about control much on outdoor trips. but she IS a planner and i am NOT usually. therefore we need set itineraries that she is completely informed of and need to stick to them to keep her happy. the unbridled wanderlust and unplanned side trips are mostly left for...

yes, with proper planning you may not need tight bends... but then again, you might have crazy ideas like i did!

    Keeping the Misses happy

one other thing - my GF likes a proper kitchen area, including a sink type tub for dishes, and plenty of space and "things" when cooking. it's one thing we differ on completely, i only need about 1 square foot, 1 pan, 1 burner, 1 knife, and a jug of water. i agree with this previously posted...

    Keeping the Misses happy

excessive warmth when it's cold out, excessive cooling when it's hot out, a shower after 2 days, and always lots of liquor. oh and a good fun group to hang out with!

On Board Hot Water Shower System

when you relocate your canister, be sure to use either a true multi-purpose hose or fuel/fuel-injection hose so that the vapors don't eat up some of the other types of rubber hose. when i relocated mine i was concerned that the time to pressurize the system during the self test might be off and...

    Dual Batteries

i'm running duals in the rear of my SUV (link...) but for years i just carried a JNC300XL portable jump starter (link...), they are cheap and small but get the job done even for a V8 (if the job is needing an emergency backup). had to take it out every few months and top the charge off is all...

    2012 Expo Calendar NOW AVAILABLE!

sweeet! thanks for putting it together and thanks to those that voted for me! too bad the format is so square, i'd actually rather see images in their original aspect ratios with black fill rather than crop them next time - just my 2 cents. thanks again for the effort!

The Triple Threat Grand Cherokee (2003 WJ)

Number 7 helped me to fix some alignment issues today. we took the toe from 1/4" out to 1/8" in. we also found the rear axle to not be sitting square, and so lengthening the passenger rear lower control arm 1/4" inch fixed that. i still need to adjust drag-link slightly, maybe 2 turns should...

The Triple Threat Grand Cherokee (2003 WJ)

RTI ramp scores (same ramp each year): in 2009 got a 790 in 2010 got a 1050 this year got an 1123 it's s'posed to be a 23* degree ramp but apparently it's bent a little, the angle finder said it was at 22*. so my 1123 would convert to a 1230 on a standard 20* ramp. both the front-right and...

The Triple Threat Grand Cherokee (2003 WJ)

thanks for all the compliments! i know a lot of people do raise the tank, but it's just never really been a problem for me even with rock crawling so i didn't. i ********** my trailer hitch way before i would hit my gas tank on departures. once i get a rear bumper with integrated hitch (that sits...

    specific dual battery controller/manager question

they are each 300A with the thought that it was small enough to trip on a major fault, but still provide enough juice to start vehicle. if the batteries are combined, then i have 600A available for winching (which i don't even have a winch yet).
