On the less expensive end, i like my north face goliath long. However i am wanting to upgrade to a western mountaineering or similar level of bag next year.

The San Rafael Swell, UT:

with the WJ pano, the Jeep is in the same spot actually, but the 3 shots are taken from 3 different locations and points-of-view! this one was 3 different shots taken while my friend's XJ crossed the creek. with this one the point-of-view changes, but i was standing in basically the same spot...

washed off the mud/sand/dust from the San Rafael Swell!

returned home just before midnight yesterday from a week in and around the San Rafael Swell, UT... now have to sort through nearly 1,000 pics i took! here's a couple i really like so far: had a great time except for one night when it got to 7 degrees - inside of tent and part of sleeping...

i didn't - i only thought the ones i had were. these new ones are expensive as hell all aluminum Jiffy-Tite. there are cheaper plastic ones listed in my link. or you can use pressure-washer ones if you don't need auto-shut-off on them.

i have the 4ft version of that antenna you posted, just wanted to let you know that's it's holding up fine even though it's a no-name deal. it's also very flexible, haven't needed a spring (like i did with the Firefly) yet. however, having the 4ft length works to my advantage for flexibility. if...

my friend Diane is loving hers so far. i played with it a bit and it is the closest thing to what an overlander would want that's come out yet. now if they would only make a version with just a tad bit bigger screen still. a few pics of the suction mount with charging base are here...
