It might be $112 now.
I've posted comments about this canopy on this thread previously, but this last weekend I gave it a bit of a testing. I attended the NW Overlanding Rally (had a great time by-the-way), and used the canopy for the duration. They had us packed-in on 20' x 20' lots. It was...
I would love to get a Goal Zero 400 for my camping needs (and for my buddy's CPAP machine). However... the lithium version states you can't charge it from your vehicle's 12-volt system (110 or solar power for charging). So that would be an issue for me since I would want to be charging it when...
I know I keep those green one-pound propane cylinders inside my little enclosed trailer. But does anyone store their larger propane tanks inside their trailer?
I've seen folks mount the five-pound tanks outside their trailers (the size I'm thinking of), but I'm thinking I'd rather keep it away...
I'm getting ready for the NW Overlanding Rally next week, so I put my Trasharoo back on the Jeep. It only goes on when I'm going somewhere where I might be needing it. I've had it for about eight years now and it still looks good. I give it a good hosing-off when I'm done and let it dry...
This might be a possibility (not cheap though). I couldn't find the length of either piece once taken apart, but combined they're 34".

I do over on the JeepForum. It highlights my trailer build, but also has a lot of other info contributed by other enthusiasts (if it was just a build thread, it would have been done in a couple pages). It has become a very long thread, but think of it as a book. Once you're done reading the...
This one is built off a little Harbor Freight type 4' trailer. Heavily modified, but that is what I started with. It is amazing how much stuff you can put in even a 4' trailer. The thing to remember is cubic feet (length x width x height). I can put a lot in mine because it is relatively...
I've made some changes to my Jeep and trailer. I put a swing-away spare tire carrier on the Jeep to allow a drop-down tailgate. Got an off-brand 6x8' (approx.) awning on the Jeep's Surco roof rack. Jeep is a 98 TJ four cylinder/five-speed/3.5" lift/4.88 gears Dana 30/44 with lockers f&r/33"...
I've got a Coleman 52 quart Xtreme cooler (had it for years) mounted on the front of my trailer. Never had any issues with it, but I always thought someday I would upgrade to a "better" cooler.

Was at Cabela's...
1. That's an odd bolt pattern. I couldn't find any hubs out there in a 6 on 5" pattern.
2. I second going with getting a set of 6 on 5.5" hubs and getting them drilled to 6 on 5". However...
3. Looking at the wheels on your truck, I don't know if the center hole on your rims are large...
So I moved the roof rack mounts to the outer edges of the roof rack (much more difficult than you would think, but you would understand if you knew how the rails were mounted on the rooftop). Anyways; the canopy mounting points are now 40" apart. So with the canopy itself being 78" across...
1998 TJ four cylinder 33" tires/4.88 gears/3.5" lift/etc. Figure 15 mpg pulling a small trailer. So 18 gallons in the tank, five gallon Jerry can on the swing-away rear bumper, 12 additional gallons on the trailer = 35 gallons. 35 x 15 = 525 miles. I don't really want to test it out though.
On one end I have 25" of overhang, and the other end is 27" of overhang. I am going to move the mounts to the ends of the roof rack, which will decrease the overhang by 7.5" on each end (and increase the distance between the mounts by 15" [currently about 24"]). Seems like I read somewhere...
Good points. Mine are only mounted in two points (four bolts, but two pairs one over the other) and there is practically two feet from the mounting points to each end. One of my next projects will be to add additional mounting points. (see posts #29 & 30 for a more detailed write-up on my...
So today I set it up in the driveway. It was the first time I had ever set one up, so it took longer than it will from now on. Impressions:
The nuts and bolts the poles swivel on do not have locking nuts on them (first picture). Expect them to rattle loose and come apart. I had the leftover...
