I too am a CPAP user.
I use a Philips DreamStation and plug it into my 12-volt system with a DC inverter cord. (Those that run these things through an inverter are kinda nuts I think.)
It comes with a heated hose. When I run it with the heated hose, it chews up 27 amps per night. That's a lot...
This retired LEO disagrees with you. As I indicated above, the front license plate issue. Thirty-one states require one. Nineteen don't.
Officers working drug interdiction look for lawful reasons to stop vehicles that fit the profile they're focusing on. They either memorize the nineteen or...
Let may try another...
The term, off-road has different meanings for different people. So in lotta ways, I don't care for it. Some think a gravel road is off-road. Some think a dirt USFS is off-road. Some think a two-track road is off-road...
You can't really compare the RVs your relatives...
Then I don't think you would need to upgrade a suspension system. But keep this in mind, I don't own an Aliner or other commercial camp trailer.
I see them frequently on BLM and USFS road. This summer they seemed to be everywhere.

Part of the problem is this term, "off-road." What does it really mean?
Off the pavement? Off of a gravel road? Two-tracks? It really isn't practical (or legal) to go where there aren't any roads. But it sounds to me that most campers could go where you're looking to go without modifying the...
I've been boondocking with wooden teardrops for nearly two decades. Nineteen years. All over Idaho, Montana, and Utah.
The screws don't pop out and I've never had a leak.
But that's just MY experience.

A properly-built teardrop is the same. It should be included in your will.

I get that. And I'm not trying to sell him on anything. He asked and I answered.

We don't winter camp with our 'drop at least not here in Idaho. My days of snow camping are behind me. (Even though we have a Propex heater in our new camper.)
But we do head south in late winter.

We've been teardrop camping for nineteen seasons. 20 -35 nights a year.
With a teardrop, you cook outside. You (generally) eat outside. They are a superb bed-on-wheels. If you like being outside and but really need a comfy bed, they are for you.
I watch a member of the Jayco crowd once. It...
You can take a scrap of Baltic birch plywood, be it 1/8", 1/2" or 3/4" and throw it in a bucket of water for a week. Pull it out and let it dry for a week or two.
It will be intact.
Don't confuse Baltic birch plywood with "cabinet" grade birch.
