I believe the nuts are on the right way - As my Dad had a Series 2 Land Rover and the wheel nuts were double chamfered as in both sides of the nuts and you could fit them either way.
Anyway very good report. I'm loving the photos,
Dan.
This overhang rule is calculated at 60% of the wheel base and then measured from the centre of the rear wheels to the end of overhang.
Just for information,
Dan.
Build a 50mm receiver into the steel work behind the Bullbar possibly in line with the chassis rail and a hole in the bar for it to go through. Then buy a normal Recovery Piece (Hitch Receiver) that will fit into the receiver and pin into place. This can be removed when not really needed in...
What are others thoughts.
I've often wondered in the situation of a rollover whether it would be possible to cut a tree/log and chain it at right angles to the chassis to be used as a lever. Some notching and the like would need to be done so that it could be fitted snug to the chassis. With...
Well what can I say! They certainly are a little larger than what I'm proposing and certainly would have done a lot better if they had lockers or limited slip centres in those diffs.

I've done lots of research but there is all ways more.
NWF HERO transfer cases are not in the budget at around $6,000 to 7,000 US plus import (could well be in the range of $2,500 Aus.) into Australia. Rockwells - well we are not even going there. Not available in Australia, to slow unless...
Sounding fairly good. Get that intercooler into cold air is what I would look at but as you lengthen pipe work you get more lag. It's not a speed machine anyway so probably not a real problem. I.d be looking at putting it in front of the radiator, yes it is a tight fit but certainly possible...
Nice looking truck. Yes it looks like toe in was certainly out. Also yes left and right wheel nut threads.
Can't tell you if the pumps are interchangeable but just changing the pump won't necessary give you more power and it is not necessarily needed when you fit a turbo. Now if the 4D34t pump...
Nicely made lockers and fuel tank. You are going to have to make sure you don't hook the front corner of that tank though as it will be easy to do. I would have made that bottom outside edge at 45°. A little less capacity but a lot safer.

Trouble is if the rims are bent which is easy to work out then using balance beads may help with the wobble but not the tyre wear out of ordinary. Which may become dangerous.
The rims are still bent.
Dan.
Actually I have seen that type of rear axle setup. Be really great offroad but I wonder how it would handle traveling at highway speeds as they are normally chain driven in the walking beam. Well graders are and I've broken a few of them.
