Warn VR Winches starting at $399*

The rule-of-thumb minimum is to take your GVW (that’s Gross Vehicle Weight, not curb weight) and multiply it by 1.5. But this minimum rating is just that, a minimum. Certain factors can quickly cause your winch capacity to be exceeded so you need to think about your intended usage. Be aware...

    Smittybuilt Element Ramps

Correct. Both are marketed as a recovery device. I agree.

    Smittybuilt Element Ramps

How can this not be apples to apples? That's like saying a winch test where you test 3 8,000# winches is not comparing apples to apples since there is now a newer version of the Warn M8000 (true statement RE: Warn). The newer MAXTRAX are an improvement on the prior design, and the older...

    Smittybuilt Element Ramps

Color doesn't matter on the MAXTRAX they are all the same. There is two versions, the newer version has the three rib design. Very true, I know of two people that had this happen. I'm sure in this case they will not be replacing the Element Ramps with MAXTRAX.

    stock spring replacement 04 Tacoma

Truck stops.../dumps. Just watch your wheel placement, they'll have a different front and rear. Good option for you IMO. If you remove a leaf you normally take out one of the "main" springs (normally around the third one down from the top)...

    Not a Good Wrench Day

Looks like you have enough of the bolts showing... I would take a nut and weld it on, Soak it in penetrating oil, and use a socket, Basically weld a new head onto it. If you dont have a welder, you can try, but probably will not work; Take the bolt and try cutting a slit in it to attempt to...

    stock spring replacement 04 Tacoma

I have yet to see an OME kit "stink bug." The OME Dakar Springs will give about 2.25" of lift, although some times a tad more until they are broken in, and the front nets about 1.75". Another note is that you want to maintain the factory rake (lower in the front) especially if concerned about...

    Snorkels

I'd totally rock one... there's a touch-less one down the street from us that is only $0.99 with gas purchase of 10 gal or more. It does the under body spray too... totally worth the $1 if my truck would fit.

    Snorkels

When in OZ (returning the rental Cruiser) we had to wait in line at the car wash. We were number 5 in line, and everyone in front of us had a snorkel. We all went through the automatic car wash and had no issues. In order for water to get up into the engine it would basically need to defy...

For overlanding, I think the Ironman 4x4 Rugged Rescue Survival Kit, is much more valuable in terms of functionality. http://youtu.be/XJ8s7KPy_ZM

    Nissan SMB anyone?

Anyone know if they got the rear axle issues squared away in the Titans? IIRC, I remember seeing that they had some issues with them.
