If you had 2 go bad in 6 months, i'd also look close at the truck, is it charging properly? any accessories dragging it down? Even the cheapest batteries last 6 months.:)
Mods please delete if this thread is not appropriate, not sure how to do "want to Buy"
I am looking for a stock tube, airbox and brackets for my 4.0yj. YJ setup would be ideal but i think a TJ setup would work too. Please no 2.5s, they don't fit. If anyone has switched over to a knn/air...
Mark, that jeep poker run i was talking about went thru medix run ,bennezette and quehanna wild area. It is beautiful up there, I'd be up for another east coast meet. The poker run was rough due to the dust, I'd like to see it again without dust:)
My brother was quoted $800 by a local mechanic, so it was definitely worth the trouble. Now that I 've done it, I could probably get it done in 3.5-4 hrs. Nothing is too difficult just very tedious. I don't know about a full cage, depending on how the front is done, you may have to pull the cage.
I don't need any help, I just wanted to see if anyone wants to comiserate:(

Gotta love bridge day, the cavers look down and say "wow, this is high", the base jumpers look and say "wow, this is low." :) I went in the mid 90s, that place is a lot of fun.
You and your wide open spaces, you should come out to PA for doe season, bullets flying every direction, deer running in circles.:) I'm happy to get a deer or just survive. Once my brother, brother in law, 2 nephews and I each shot a doe with in one minute, now that was fun:) Looks like fun...
A usual benefit of a aftermarket bumper is tow points. If you alreadys have good tow points and aren't running a winch you could skip the bumper, but you must have front tow points.:)
I use that style to strap my jeep to the trailor, i don't know about using them in recovery, i don't think they'll take a shock load too well. If that latch pops at the wrong time, you may go for a ride. I always tie mine off before I travel.
Yes, I assume I have to remove both the hub assembly and locking hub to pull the axle shaft and change the ujoint. I was hoping to find an exploded diagram of both assemblies.
I'm picturing a tall cube made out of angle iron. Motor would sit inside the cube hanging from a faux transom. Then just ratchet strap the cube to the bed tie downs.:)
