IMHO, overland built vehicles are NOT for drive thru car washes... The DIY kind or at home with a hose and a bucket.... I wouldn't risk it. The carwash wont pay for any damages....

550 stretches a bit and UV degrades it over time. The kevlar line would be a great alternative. Tensile strength is unmatched pound for pound, doesn't break down or rust, wont interfere with comms.

I thought about the same with my setup too but absolutely agree. It protects the fridge, allows you to pack around it and still have access to the fridge, keeps gear from getting stuck down in the moving parts and most importantly allows for adequate airflow for the compressor to run properly...

Patience is the key! I sold mine fully kitted out and it took longer than I thought it would.... I had to come down on my price, too. In the end it went to a great new home and the buyer got a great deal. GLWS! ITs a gorgeous LJ. Im sure that you have a lot of time and $ invested.

I did home made in the Jeep when I built it. The side slides were Knape & Vogt push/pull locking slides and the main drawer slides ware accuride dual locking. I loved that setup!

Hobbled into the driveway to run the engine for a few minutes.... I was having separation anxiety....
