    Looking For a New 1/2Ton

I'll say that after driving both, dollar for dollar, the F150 is going to be quite a bit nicer inside (at least to me), to get a 250 with the same look at feel it's quite a bit more than the lower baseline trim packages offered, I'd guess you'd need to step up to the Lariat....

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

Agree with this, lockers and ice / snow can be a really bad recipe. On a sloping road, locked rear can step out quite easily unless you are familiar with how they work....I've never driven a front locked rig on the snow, but I'd imagine the same lack of stability...

True - always a bit surprising how much of a difference there is in weight between the gas and diesel...

That is surprisingly low, I figured min of high 2k minimum for 3/4 tons....

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

I don't think they make sense on rigs this size / type, so agree. I like the idea of having but not needing, but it would be even less used than rear locker, which is basically never....

    2022 Land Cruiser 300 series

I was comparing these two rigs in the post you quoted: Functionally they look the same to me, single cab, heavy duty, rough riding, solid axle, poor gas mileage offroad rigs, what I missing? The Landcruiser above doesn't meet any of the requirements you speak of, it may get slightly better...

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

Your right, I screwed up earlier, you can but not the XLT with the HDPP since it drops the 302a package unfortunately.

Those are cool - especially considering how tall trucks have gotten these days!

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

Yeah good catch - 302A is 12", I just saw the 8" I highlighted before but now I see the Sync 4 w/12"....not sure what 8" productivity screen is....

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

Good question, I lost patients trying to figure it all out. I think it's just the 8", according to the online build sheet the 302A I couldn't add (see below) is 8", but so is the 301A that I had to include: *Edit - it looks like you need at least a Lariat to get the 12"...

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

Yup - age old dilemma. I'd say, if I had the room and didn't live near a city, I think the F150 is probably worth having if you 'think' you may need it, my 2c!

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

Good question on Ranger - just got to the point where I outgrew it. We have a 5k TT, which the Ranger pulls no problem, but the lack of bed space was a big limiter since I can't have my dirtbike in back without tailgate down and can't tow with tailgate down due to clearance issues. There are...

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

I ordered the buckets too w/center console after them sending me home overnight with the bench...I think it's the way to go! I didn't end up getting the gate step but could see it as being useful, I was really on the fence with it but had to balance spending the $$ vs how much I used it....I...

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

Met too, decided to just pull the trigger! They told me around 8 weeks, give or take, not ideal but I'd rather have exactly what I want vs settling for a truck I could find which was not hard outside of the HDPP, the sales guy looked into those and said there were NONE in the country on lots :)

    Looking For a New 1/2Ton

I just decided to pull the trigger on a F150 after looking at several options. Drove a F250 w/7.3, it just seemed like massive overkill for the handful of times I would need it. I've driven modern F150's and they are just so unbelievable nice, quite (as others have pointed out) and reasonably...

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

I'm guessing, like on all the other 'offroad' specialty rigs, the HDPP will very very unlikely be offered and I'd doubt the MaxTow. I actually just order a 21' F150, Max Tow, HDPP, 3.5EB and they won't even allow you to get heated seats in the darn thing! Makes NO sense, but in talking with...

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

I think you'd be pleasantly surprised with the new 10 spd, it is one of the lowest geared Autos out there (as far as I know) with a 4.7:1 1st. I've generally heard folks say manual to auto crawl is 2:1, to get the same or sim performance you'd need a first gear twice as low in a manual vs auto...

    2021 F150 Tremor Thoughts?

It's a excellent point, super low tcase gears have pros and some pretty big 'cons' for general wheeling. I'll say though, with the 4.70 1st gear in the 10 spd, it really negates the need for the deep tcas ratios. It works out to be ~46:1....the older Rubicons with their 4:1 Tcase were about...
