Are they even going to sell it in Canada? Usually when companies on other continents say "North America" what they really mean is "United, States of." (As discussed many pages ago/other thread here, in Canada the gaps between BMW dealerships is huge in much of the country, so where you get it...

    Black Series fire hazard

I haven't heard about these Timbren failures until now, but to be fair they usually aren't used on larger trailers I thought. At least not the ones I looked at. And by larger I mean not a tear drop. What have been the failures on the torsion axles? I'm not thrilled to hear I could have...

    12v portable jump starter issues?

This would be for my 3.7s in my Ford's or the 3.6 in my wife's WK2. Or random friends when camping, most of whom own import crossovers. Either the "left the interior lights on over night" issue or the "it's minus 37 and I guess the battery is old" issue.

    Black Series fire hazard

Yeah the escape. The frame is welded rectangular tube, and it's not framed with particle board inside. Both i consider improvements over the R-POD which I also looked at. But still a torflex axle. I don't have the money to swap a pair of axles on a brand new trailer right now.

    Black Series fire hazard

This exactly. Why proper, dampened suspensions aren't available on more domestic trailers. The stove heat shield and lid fell apart, a cupboard door opened, and various other things bounced around on a trip to Tulabi Falls MB, I don't recall how many KM of washboard it was, but a similar length...

    12v portable jump starter issues?

Locally the NOCO GB70 I think is on sale The reviews I read are they are great, unless they just randomly fail just outside of warranty. Is there a specific brand/model out there that is high quality? I've been wanting to add one of these as a back up to jumper cables as especially when in the...

Tired of Old Junk but no Interest in Newer 4x4s

Agreed. SR5 TRD off-road is (only cheap way) cheapest way to get a rear E locker on the Tundra here as far as I can discern. It's actually cheaper than the most equivalently equipped Ford, but you can get an XLT Ferd with rear locker for less Vehicle pricing is through the roof used and new, so...

Tired of Old Junk but no Interest in Newer 4x4s

Could you stick it out for a other year or so? Maybe the market will go a bit more towards how it used to be as interest rates go up and auto makers start catching up? The used market would correct and you could find something newer but not too new, for a more reasonable price.

Tired of Old Junk but no Interest in Newer 4x4s

Canadian dollars bruh. It's painful here. The cheapest tundra double cab trd off road I could make was 56k and Lariat F150s are in the 70s, XLT sports around 60k

    A Sign of Our Times…

Makes me wonder if we will see a return to yesteryear by mid 2023. Trying to decide if I can game selling my 2014 for a still inflated price at the end of trailer season 2022 and then hold off until the hopeful return of employee pricing/large MSRP discounts and selection in spring/summer 23...

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

Managed a night of camping despite the rain and flood warnings. Packed up at 15:00 Saturday and it was a thunderstorm and pouring rain by 15:30! Gormet meals on the fire and even managed a "water crossing" ? But that was in town and not the bush.

In canukistan, no, certainly can't buy the new version, and I don't think we had older models either. Only Lexus and Toyota.

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

I'm worried what happens the third time I hit something and it puts the plate right into my EPAS unit. I just emailed RCI will see what they say. Wheelbase is long and my tires aren't particular large, it was bound to happen.

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

Worse than I thought. Pretty sure the plate made contact with the front differential. 4x4 worked tho and no weird noises. It actually seems like only the EPAS rack got tapped. Sure hope that doesn't act up suddenly while towing

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

Hard to tell but my transmission skid and oil pan skid have some good damage now from a hidden rock under the snow. These things have paid for themselves. Being aluminum, I'm not sure if I should take them off and try to straighten them out, or if that would weaken the metal further?

    Choices

Yeah a theoretical max on paper. I've just glanced at the specs for a Tremor. Maximum payload is 1478lb. So realistically it will probably be less. 15% tongue weight is 1050lb on a 7k trailer. Plus I'd hazard a guess you'd want a weight distribution hitch too. Throw another 80# on that. You're...

    F150 - 2.7L vs 3.5L vs 5.0L

The 2.7 is the standard engine in some trims, and a very small price increase over the 3.3 in lower trims, along with being the volume order engine of choice. The used market would reflect that.

    2022 Chevy Silverado ZR2

In April last year, IF you could find one, a Custom Trail Boss could be bad for low 40s. Mid 40s with the 6.2 and ten speed. It seemed like a better value, a decent mix of useful features and visuals like no chrome. The skid plates were pretty ho hum in my opinion. Does this new ZR2 have the...
