OEM wheel on my F150 is 17x7.5 +44.
I'm trying to find aftermarket wheels: a) without fake beadlocks b) that aren't hideous, c) that have a positive offset of +20 or +25 or 30 etc, d) aren't wider than 8.5. e) aren't black
What's with all the 0 offset 9" wide wheels? Is it because everyone loves...
Anyone following the US pricing release for the Lightning?
It seems like a rich person only offering.
I'm seeing ER XLT push 80K, ER Lariat almost mid 80s. I sure hope Ford Canada doesn't just slap exchange rate on those #s
To be fair half the people on my city drive around in Lariat ICE F150s I...
7500-8000km? I'm not sure how many KM in Newfoundland. It's almost 3500km from here to the ferry port.
*Edit* looks like realistically closer to 10k km, the route have planned is already over 7k not including Newfoundland, and we have likely over 1000km there, I haven't done the routes yet
AFAIK the axles are beefier, and have more splines, I'm not sure what else changed. I know later classic 8.8 had Pinion bearing changes, not sure if that was upgraded further in the Super.
Estimating $3500-4000 on fuel, $1500 for the ferry, round trip.
Trying to keep the trip to under 9k total, which means so have to not stop at every microbrewery we come across.
Have 5 weeks budgeted to do this.
Tempted to replace the tires before the trip as they are coming on 5 years old...
My dear wife has mostly orchestrated our trip out East next year, pending the graces of the ruling class of course. (Blessed be the Trudeau's)
This old rust bucket is to pull our trailer from Loserpeg through Onterrible and Quebec, into New Brunswick, and then to PEI (5 days) A few days and...
If you've been driving around town lately it's a skating rink eh?
With all seasons anyway.
My Transit 250 with Michelin agilis cross climate and an open diff is out driving my F150 with LSD and KO2s ?
These would be a dedicated winter tire so on when studs allowed off when studs are banned.
I have "winter rated" all terrains that suck on paved and icey surfaces.
I live in a subarctic wasteland town of poverty. Not tons of concrete showing, just rock hard compacted snow and ice. What little...
Pay for studs in the Hakkas or save $100 and not get studs?
Our speed limit is 100kph on the highway so it's not like I'll be doing 85 MPH throwing studs, and the 3.7 isn't teeming with low end power.
What went wrong with your classic 8.8 in the old truck?
My 2014 had a bad bearing race we only found when putting in a limited slip, and the truck had 100k KM and 95k of them were in fleet or towing, truck being at payload rating or higher 90% of its life.
My thought was that the Super 8.8 would...
Ugh, Kal Tire seems to be the dealer for Nokian in Winnipeg/Southern MB.
The nearest Kal Tire has just been a huge pain in the rare instances myself or an associate has used them. I'll have to look further out of the city.
No, they are a 31.8 or metric 32" tire. I've ran that size in KO2s and...
I mean, maybe other winter rated ATs notably outperform the KO2, but I really don't want to go down that road purely for winter.
Wildpeaks and Toyo AT3 in 255/80R17 are on my list of 60% of the year tires once these turds weather crack or wear down a bit more.
Cooper seems to have discontinued...
Anyone running an actual winter tire in 33"?
Preferably on a 17" rim?
My 4 year old KO2s are just brutal and I'm about ready to buy dedicated winters. Nothing coming up on tire rack with the 285/70R17 size for true winters, just all the usual winter rated all terrains and I'm about done with that.
The truck is mostly towing hence the particularly bad mileage, but even when it had 32" tires it was in fleet and had 800# of stuff plus ladders on the roof rack, and was towing a 5x10 trailer.
So few people fill out details on Fuelly it's tough to know how many 3.7 and 3.3 are in fleet trucks...
