    Gear's Baja JK Thread

Well after 3 years and 45,000 miles I finally broke down and bought some new tires. BFGoodrich 34x10.5R17 The stance is much better in person. Obviously they are quieter then the BFGoodrich Mud Terrains so that is a plus. Only minus so far is there is an increase in stopping distance and a...

    Overland 1.8 RTT

No problem on the late reply. I just happened to see this thread again. I would call around and see if you can find some Okoume and match the thickness of the existing baseplate. I would also consider replacing both sides for a clean match. I wish you where closer I think that is a great tent.

    Snow Peak Addiction

For the Partner Stove just take a piece of aluminum L and cut 2 pieces to the inside width diameter of the IGT table. Using the L brackets to span the width you can simple rest the stove on the brackets. I store the L brackets inside the stove when not being used.

Did you look at Okoume plywood. A lot lighter, also I think 3/4" is way to thick. Baltic Birch is going to be heavy! Nice tent by the way.

    Ursa Minor Pop-Top Jeep JK

I had a 2.4m Hannibal on my JK for many years. It hung off the front by about 6" which actually helped with opening the front door inside the annex. I would go with the large size again. No real down side for me. Oh and I still love looking at this thread. One day I hope to own a J30. Keep...

    Pint Glass for camping

I purchased the Hydro Flask Pint Glass in Black. Like you I have several of there other products. So far I have been really happy with it. It is pushing my Snow Peak double wall cups to side. Especially because it fits in the vehicles cup holders. Two Thumbs Up and yes I would buy another.

    Non-plastic water storage options

If you are looking for space savings and not the fact that it is made with plastic. I'd highly recommend a couple of MSR Dromedary bags. Largest is 2 1/2 gallons. It has the ability to be hung from the side of a vehicle or you can lay it out in the sun and have a solar shower. The list goes...

    Gear's Baja JK Thread

Updates - Update Time - I am enjoying the 2013 Jeep Rubicon. I am still rolling around on the stock wheels with the AEV 2 1/2" lift. Fuel economy is averaging around 16 mpg. My Dad picked up this nice 2008 Earthroamer. He has been putting thousands of miles on it in the past year...

Question for the Pinz owners or those in the know.

I have owned 2 Pinzgauers. A 710m(4x4) and a 712m(6x6). The 710m will easily exceed 60 mph. The problem is the seals on the geared hubs do not like the speed. When the trucks are run at high speeds they tend to have more leaks. The 712m will probable hit 60 mph but it is slowed down by the...
