    "Floating" Self-Leveling Bed Frame Ideas?

I have been working on plans for the bed system in my new rig, and I have been going back and forth on how sophisticated I'd like to make a "bed leveling" feature. Since I will be full-timing my new rig and a lot of different settings (urban to remote) where it might be hard to find a level...

    Roof Hatch Recommendations?

Wow, those look great! Insulation is key as always. Expensive but I think these are the best around. As long as the can lock with a simple latch on the inside, I'll go with these.

Maranda Slide In / Just Cut a Hole in the Roof for a Vent

Thanks! I sent a direct message.

    CUV / Crossover with 4Lo

I have a 2012 Jeep Patriot Trail Rated with Freedom Drive II. It gives you a "low range equivalent" in the CVT gearing ratios. Really fun little vehicle if you kit it out nicely. I have had it up for sale on the classifieds here for a while, but I have been having too much fun with it this...

Maranda Slide In / Just Cut a Hole in the Roof for a Vent

@Jonnyo Love how yours turned out! I am planning on ordering a new SpaceKap Diablo in the next couple months. If you don't mind, could you tell me this dimension that I cannot find? What is the interior width when you get above the shelf where it first flares out above the truck box? Thx!

    Jeep J8 USA Buying Options?

This is actually pretty much what I have decided in the end. I'm planning on getting a 2018 F-150 Regular Cab 8 Foot Bed with Heavy Duty Payload, FX4, etc. (3000 lbs of payload!) and mounting an insulated SpaceKap Diablo 8ft Shell (850lbs empty) for functional, comfortable, yet spartan conversion.

Autohome Columbus Variant Fit Kit-which bars?

I have my Columbus Variant permanently mounted on my Jeep with 2 x RhinoRack Vortex Bars (etrailers called autohome and they recommended them of the rhino rack offerings). They have been rock solid for me, and I have not had to make a single adjustment, since installation.

    Fiberglass truck camper build

@Tonymorr This is great work! I am planning on building something very similar and glad to see that this is working out for you. I'm planning on getting a 2018 F-150 regular cab, 8ft bed, max payload pkg, FX4, and SpaceKap Diablo 8 Foot (with 1-2 inch of closed cell foam insulation option from...

    Roof Hatch Recommendations?

Thanks for all the suggestions! It does seem like the marine hatches are probably the best option. Does anyone have any recommendations for one that is not a skylight and that can full open 180 degrees? I'm looking for an all metal hatch with a sturdy internal lock ideally.

    Roof Hatch Recommendations?

I am going to be converting an insulated SpaceKap Diablo to a camper in the Fall. One thing on my wish list is to install a roof hatch for the view, airflow, cleaning, access to solar panels and roof fan for adjustments/repair, and as an escape hatch (lol). Anyone have any recommendations for...

New Dometic CFX-65 Flashing Power Light

Looking at National Luna which has a lot of power cabling options apparently. Anyone familiar with a hella plug and know if there are adapters for Anderson PowerPole?

New Dometic CFX-65 Flashing Power Light

Fair point. Initially, I am hoping that my Lycan (1000 Watt Hour Standard Battery, can be expanded to another), 100 watt panel, and charging off the alternator when driving around would suffice for a small, efficient fridge. On my next rig, I am planning on 300 watts of solar to handle...

Alternative Solar Panel Installation on Hardshell RTTs?

Thanks guys. I had always heard VHB was really difficult to remove without damage but that sounds reasonable enough to me. I'll take that approach.

New Dometic CFX-65 Flashing Power Light

Sorry All! Been away. The dometic works with cigarette when plugged into the car. The Renogy Lycan also works with other small devices with cigarette light plugs. I also tried fiddling with the different battery levels on the fridge to no avail. I now understand the cigarette adapter...

Alternative Solar Panel Installation on Hardshell RTTs?

Unfortunately, it seems like the magnet idea won't end up working quite the way I will need it to after some additional consultation. How about this for a crazy idea? Use a bunch of those large 5 lb each 3M outdoor command strips around the edges. The lensun 100 watt flexi panel I am buying...

    Custom RTT Mattress?

Just received my exped megamat duo medium (41” x 72”) and I have to say this seems like it will be an amazing improvement. Really comfortable and adjustable. Think real bed at home. It fit exactly in the sleeve of my Big Agnes Dream Island double bag. I pulled out the standard mattress in my...

New Dometic CFX-65 Flashing Power Light

Ahh, there it is on the back panel! Thanks. Do you have a recommendation on a turn key cable? I'd rather not have to splice if it turns out I need to return everything and try something else. I'll start looking at that PowerWerx site to see if I can find something that works.

    Custom RTT Mattress?

Just wanted to let you know, I have decided to return my big agnes solution to try out an exped megamat duo as a mattress replacement in my autohome columbus. Glad to let you know how it works for me if you are looking for feedback before a purchase.

New Dometic CFX-65 Flashing Power Light

Thanks John. In digging into this and I see you are right the cigarette light plug being a bad idea. What do you see as the best alternative for this unit? : https://www.renogy.com/template/files/Manuals/Lycan_Manual_V1.0.pdf I don't think I have an anderson output option with this best I can...

Alternative Solar Panel Installation on Hardshell RTTs?

That is true. It would be more like the reverse case. What do you think of using different polarity magnets one on each side as opposed to one magnet and steel plate? That is a good point as well. I would hope that since the panels only weigh a few pounds that would be sufficient to hold them.
