Normally they would have 100+ trucks not 20, but even then to find a handful of supercabs is uncommon and maybe one straight cab, but those are usually 2wd xl 100a so useless
Not a single 6.5 bed on the local lot. Every single truck is crew cab 5.5 box
No super cabs, no CC LB. No straight cabs of any kind.
They couldn't sell me an F150 if they tried right now.
Pretty well forcing you into ordering from factory.
I have a cab height LEER shell with no side windows. 4+ years in fleet duty no windows broke and none broke yet in 3 years of light off road.
The plastic trim on the hatch breaks in the winter and the T handles seize up. Rest of it is doing fine.
The moulded fiberglass ones look best, but I'd go...
I didn't see that part, only that it was a big battery disguised as a tool box.
Ford's Canada website is useless and vague on everything . I didn't bother looking too hard as no pricing, no builder, etc.
The fresh is a translucent tank and I can see clearly it's 2/3 full with liquid
The black tank, when smacked with my palm, sounds like it's full of fluid too
I doubt the truck driver could fill the entire black tank on a drive from BC to MB lol.
Been at it since 10am just taking a break. Still...
Total length is 19 and the body is 15'8.
I'd rather have the 17 model but a happy wife as they say.
Going through it today. Seems the black tank and fresh tank are full and 2/3 full respectively. I'm hoping it's a water/anti freeze mix from testing stuff.
Lots of sawdust and bits left in...
Finally got her home. My drop hitch it's sits two low and my riser hitch sits too high. Need a parallel or none riser/drop hitch to be level by the looks of it. Glad it's only seven feet wide.
It's far less bouncy than the pop up was
We looked at LL QS trailers several years ago. We didn't care for the layout of the 14 and that's the unit in the size we wanted with the features we wanted.
There are pros and cons to the QS set up. I feel the pros out weigh the cons compared to the mainstream pop ups.
There is a non existent...
We've been lucky. The places we have camped have a potable water spigot you can fill jugs at. We've been getting by with two 2.5 gallon jugs. We'll probably still use that method and keep the fresh tank for washing dishes and bird baths. Gas is expensive enough I don't need to haul 10 gallons of...
The West and East coasts always have higher gas prices than central Canada. But at least you have something to look at other than sky.
I was paying $1.4x last time I was in BC.
I'm one of the few guys not buying crew cab trucks, and for my business certainly can't eat up bed space with a battery box.
I get that the majority of North America uses a truck as a car, but there is still a significant portion that uses a truck as a truck.
I can see if ford starts with a crew...
Gas is pushing $5 a US gallon here and our current kW rate is under 10 cents for sure closer to 9 if have to go check.
All summer, spring, and fall, EV could work well here. It's -33 that I'm concerned about.
An EV F250 would be a game changer for work in the city. I think the transit is supposed to come out with something like that.
If there was a reg cab Long box lightning then I could get behind that for work as well. At least for a service only truck. Typically have 2000# of stuff in/on the...
Even when in campgrounds we don't have power so having the roof panel and adding a portable, and the double capacity compared to our tent trailer excites me for how long we can stay in one spot.
We've been getting by with a 95 AH group 27 and a cheap Coleman 90w portable.
Now we have 225 AH...
Have to hand it to my friend at Pembina Hills Transfer who came through on short notice to get it here.
Original plan was for my wife and I to drive to BC and get it, but the lock downs prevented us from entering BC, and would have forced a 2 week quarantine on return to MB.
Our fiberglass monocoque trailer is completed and thanks to insane Covid restrictions I had to have it shipped here. It's on the truck now on its way from BC to MB.
I originally wanted the shorter 17A model, which also lacks a bathroom. My wife overruled me.
We wanted a trailer we could use for...
