    2022 Nissan Frontier unveiled

Oh did the 2022 pathfinder go back to looking rugged? The soft looking FWD version that replaced the previous boxy design was hideous. The long box frontier is pretty darn long. I think it said 139 inch wheelbase in the article. I think new truck looks decent even tho it's combining looks from...

Thoughts on this trailer power system.

We have a new trailer being built. I have selected dual 6v lead acid batteries, and the single factory 190w solar panel flat mounted on the roof, well aware of the limits of a permanent flat mounted panel. Mostly it's there for charging while driving, which can be 8-16 hours in a day. It also...

2021 F150 Towing Capacity Increase on some models

Todd and Nat you might even spend more time than me on the builder page! Lol. I'm waiting to see how my 3.7 tows our new trailer. Weight dry is specs at 3600# (Escape 19 with dual SLA 6v on the tongue) Keeping in mind I'm on stock gears of 3.73 but have "34 inch" tires (really a 33) so my ratio...

The full sized mid-size, my 2014 F150 "Fiddy"

The 5100s came super fast. Very impressed with Essex distributors in BC. The price was essentially on par with buying in the US and converting currency, and they came to my door in less than two weeks during the pandemic. My shock bolts are all seized tho. Spent an hour outside in the cold a few...

Probably doesn't have rear drum brakes like certain Taco either.

Budget Used Domestic Cargo Vans for Family Member Build?

If you could find a short wheelbase 4.8 V8 GMC/Chevy short wheelbase used for a good price, as in a fleet lease return. Batches come available 2-3 years old with low km. I was trying to buy one for my business but they kept going for 22K wholesale and the short wheelbase isn't enough room for my...

    2021 F150 Raptor... optional 37's and optional V8 coming...

I'm pretty sure I'm one of seventy five people who wants a Supercab. Nobody buys supercabs anymore. It isn't 2002 anymore. Titan doesn't even offer a supercab and Chevy went "double" cab years ago. As did Ram.

    Nokian Rotiva AT

What I'm finding my issue is going to be outside the cost is to find a fairly narrow 33-34" winter tire that's a pure winter. Might have to stick with 285/70R17. Thanks for the feedback. I was hoping Nokian rubber compound and some more Sipes would increase winter performance but it sounds like...

    2021 F150 Raptor... optional 37's and optional V8 coming...

Locally every Raptor I've seen was 88K CAD or higher. The theoretical base level Raptor is going to be special order unless you live in a Major urban center (and the average Canadian capital city doesn't count as that) The Tremor is a more handy idea, but i don't need or want a crew cab do no...

    Nokian Rotiva AT

Is there anyone who have used other 3 peak Mountain Snowflake rated all terrain tires who have also used the Rotiva ATs? Are these Nokians better on icey and slushy roads than the competition (even if at the expense of other terrain performance like mud)?

Tire pressure question for BFG KO2 users

I had LT235/80R17 load E on my 2014 F150 3.7 and running 48 front 52 rear (1000# in the truck) it actually wore out the center tread notably more than the edges. That was around 6800 # combined GVW I'd try OEM pressure for on the street and maybe chalk the tires to be safe.

How to ID F150 max payload package?

Yeah I think 2.7 PP is 2200# but u can get that with a similarly equipped 3.5 EB (ie same cab and trim)

    Newbie questions about travel trailer

Escape waiting list exploded. We out deposit on in early August and our build starts in March. But by September they sold all of this year's slots What about Alto Safari Condo? I don't know about the off road part but they had a reasonable sized fixed roof model and the build materials seemed...

Is it a sign that I'm just growing up or getting boring?? Soon to be Wrangler-less...

I suppose the top down experience is something I don't consider as it's winter six months a year here. I can see the appeal if you live somewhere warm. I've also never understood not wanting doors on when you drive.

Is it a sign that I'm just growing up or getting boring?? Soon to be Wrangler-less...

Depends how wealthy your are. For us, having a dedicated off road vehicle isn't plausible. In 2014 I had a 2008 ranger that was the camper and rock crawler. Sold it for a 2002 wj and lost money just trying to keep the wj road worthy. Couldn't even begin to afford a JKU that would have towed...

    2017 F-150 build...Everyone meet Walter White

I forget, but has the driveshaft for the rear been checked? I don't recall what years they had bad batches of shafts but in any case I'd think it would be noticeable at other speeds. Crazy that after that many eyes and attempts to balance it, no solution so far. Maybe it's something other than...

Colorado Built Boreas AT, XT, MXT Teardrop!

Not to detail this thread too much but I've seen lately a bunch of quite new off road type trailers and vehicles hit the used market. I'm assuming people bought pre Covid and then lost employment or took pay cut, as it's been a variety of brands and models so not a trend of quality I don't think.

    Canadians... What's it really like?

Lol the Liberals just voted against a motion to crack down on gun smugglers and people with prohibition orders caught with (usually illegal) firearms. (That's like triple illegal here BTW, no license, unregistered restricted firearm, AND a prohibition order) But they are going to spend hundreds...

    Canadians... What's it really like?

I'm assuming you made your money after your career in law enforcement to be in the top 5% income of one of the richest countries in the world. Yeah Canada has a lot of downsides. Right now the police are being used to hand out $1000+ tickets for breaking Covid 19 code red restrictions, while...
