Since Newfoundland won't even let us in and it's 14 day quarantine on arrival to Nova Scotia and again on return to Manitoba, our East Coast holiday is cancelled this year.
Going to use some of that time to take the wife's 2019 Jeep GC on a road trip to Chilliwack BC and hopefully order an...
We purchased the 2019 Jeep GC with tow package over a Cadillac XT4 and Toyota RAV4 Trail for a multitude of reasons, and one was the 6200# tow rating.
With that in mind, it's because our current trailer is #2500+ without water or bikes/yaks on the roof, and our future trailer will be #3500-#3600...
It was the first skid plate installed.
Honestly having that five foot long plastic tank hanging in the breeze is like leaving your balls hanging out of your fly.
A better shot of the RCI skids
What our current trailer is. In all its staple and glue glory. What a heap.
The awning is handy and they tow not bad, plus in what is hot weather around here you can get a great breeze through them and thus don't require AC. (If it's 90 and humid that's the...
Ok wow, yeah that's low! Good spot for those things in that respect and hopefully avoids turbulence because it's behind tow vehicle.
Where is the fresh water tank on this trailer?
I suffer from excessive tongue weight on my pop up but don't travel with water in the tank
We are looking at Escape...
Being able to get the lockers and big tires on low trim without bells and whistles is the key here, and especially having a factory warranty.
I too haven't seen it. Hope it's not tiny.
So far Canadian MSRP starts at 40k with 4x4 and 30" tires and is damn near 59K for the Wildtrack. Wildtrack has 35s, standard front and rear lockers, low crawl ratio, 2.7 EcoBoost etc etc. Still a steep sticker, but I haven't checked our Wrangler or Gladiator MSRP.
Who else got home from work, sat down with a beverage of choice, and is checking out the new Bronco.
I'm not going to lie it took so long to release I almost thought it was a hoax.
Maybe the Escape 21 NE with the cot option?
It's the Escape 19 layout but stretched, built in/on the 21 chassis.
Be tight though. Main queen bed, queen sized dinette when folded down, and a cot above that. The 19 the dinette is maybe a double.
Does the LT255/80R17 meet or exceed the load rating of the OEM tire?
Factoring in that I'm pretty sure LT245/75R17 was a factory size tire on super duties, you would probably be ok.
I ran LT235/80R17 on my F150 when it was in fleet. I enjoyed the fuel economy. Handled way better than the garbage stock P rated 235/75R17.
But didn't really run off road with them. They also didn't wear well and chunked the tread a bit, but the truck ran with 1600-1800 lbs in it and towed a...
Been pretty happy with our 3.6 Pentastar in the GC, and the 3.7 in my F150 and Transit 250.
1 of the reasons the Ranger and new Explorer turned me off is no NA V6 option.
I agree with Peglegfury that not offering optional engines is unappealing.
The NA V6s of now aren't the under powered fuel...
You can fit LT275/70R17 easily as it's basically a 32. Not sure why the XL trucks came with 245/75R17, but guessing to maximize fuel economy and keep load height as low as possible. (Most tires that size list around 31.5) You should be able to fit LT285/75R17 which is near 35" diameter but...
