Ford Transit 150-350 are rear wheel drive.
They also have low articulation and hilarious euro tire size of 235/65R16 Euro C which are tiny tiny tiny tires that are inflated to 52-75 psi depending on position on a 250.
They dig like ******** in snow and loose soil, especially because the van is heavy...
Full 2 inches in size difference in regards to which tire?
If you mean the 35" I don't see how, if the 35 runs 34.5 OD in reality.
Your 295/75R16 being a 33x11.5r16 essentially (33.4x11.6R16), and a 285/75R17 is 33.75x11.25R17
I'm just thinking about that time I wish I had taller gears...
Oh wait, I never have.
What I have done is lamented that I didn't get shorter gears or that the manufacturer didn't offer anything shorter than 3.73, and that re gearing my current truck is money I don't want to spend.
Gm being a...
U get 3 OD gears with that truck. Get the steepest gears you can! Your going 3-5" larger diameter tires. Regear going to cost more down the road than getting it out of the box.
Is an F150 considered a full size in this discussion or do we mean 3/4-1 tons?
I ran KO2 in LT235/80R17, and then switched to the LT34x10.5R17 size.
The narrower shorter tires had the truck getting better fuel economy and better acceleration, and were way better than the P235/75R17 that came...
Metric is awesome
It's time murica' gets on board.
0° freezes water 100° boils it.
Tbh Pascal is an inconvenient measurement scale for pressure but metric comes in for the win with everything being on the scale of a thousand. Move the decimal around or add kilo, mega, pico, nano.
What's the AH...
The old man in me delights at the colour scheme the 10th gen has. Along with its condition.
How's that awning working out for you? I've considered something similar for my 12th gen.
How something so easy on the F series is impossible on the Transit boggles my mind.
The OEM size has terrible selection, and a sky high load rating, preventing me from legally putting on a 225/75R16 or something remotely close in OEM diameter.
I'm the opposite end I get lower on the curve on Fuelly. None of my friends with EcoBoost trucks get good economy either. Maybe it's the 10% ethanol in our fuel here or the all around horribly inefficient city we live in, combined with the wind and cold weather.
Average is 16 mpg for 2014 3.7...
I own a T250 medium roof transit for work. You would need a Quigley conversion for useful clearance and 4WD. But I find it more comfortable to drive than every E series I ever had. They have a lot of quirks though, like early models having a rubber driveshaft coupling rather than a u joint...
Lots of information on Fuelly is as useless as forum info. Owners input all the data.
I make notes of anything such as towing, excessive wind, payload etc. Along with actually marking down city and highway percentages. Many owners have zero notes no information added about vehicle, and the...
Man best I have ever done was 19.5 miles per US gallon on my 3.7 supercab on "34"s on highway around 65 mph. Towing is more like 13-16 mpg. Around Town not towing is 15 mpg.
On 32s was about the same but I always had 1000#+ in the truck and ladders on the roof so highway was worse and in town...
I thought super duty had 36 gallon tank with the 6.2??
If I was doing a camper if pick a 17+ 250 6.2 with 4.30 gears. But for the right price a pre aluminum one.
If I bought a halfer again it would be another F150 but a heavier duty version, with 9.75 rear axle, locker and the steepest gearing...
