Great loking rig Sgt!
I would paint the bezel white and call it done if...
you have Power steering.
A Ipod or cd player.
Comfy seats.
Otherwise I would just drive it everyday. I DO!

It is kinda hard to say, it is worth what someone will pay for it. As you have described, I wouldn't go under $1,500 but someone may pay closer to 2k if the tent is as nice as it looks.

Do you guys run the 10 gauge wire from the front to the trailer and also run the plug in for 110v hook up. Or is it a stand alone system and must be plugged into the 110v and charged up before leaving out on a trip?
I am thinking a combo of the two may be the...

So when using a 7 pin trailer hook-up you simply install an in-line isolator and charge it off the alternator right?
What is involved in addition to the isolator? Is it a simple wire to the hitch plug and on to the battery? What about charging management, could you over power the battery...
Thanks guys, this is really giving me some good ideas.
I love the marine market, being a former Florida boy I am experienced in most things marine... and the marine market crosses over well into the off road enviroment.
Now, I have a few questions...
1. For you guys running power through the...
Title says it all... almost.
I am building a trailer for camping/expedition style usage. I was wondering what you would buy and put in a dedicated trailer. Here are a few of my thoughts:
No starting power will be needed/used.
I would like to power:
A freezer fridge.
12v SHurflo pump.
A few...

Nice to see you made it over here to ExPo, you should link your trailer build from mud up in the trailer section too...
Welcome to the new madness:wings:

Any axle shop can make you a set of ubolts for a reasonable price.
That said...
You might check out the suspension as a whole.
Is the Chassis strong enough for your planned mods.
Could you reuse the ubolts you have?
Will the current axle take on heavier tires?
I would love to see your pics...

I am building my own (largly to budget restraints) but that sure doesn't mean you don't give mad props when you see folks doing it right! Keep it up, I hope AT redefines recreational camping in the US... it would go a long way if more folks got interested in keeping/gaining access into...
I have been in Oz and seen them up close, they are SHA-WEET! But for 25K, there are a lot of other cool things I would hunt down first.
Another killer camper trailer is the Ultimate Trailer... equally as nice. For the US market, there isn't a better trailer than the Adventure Trailer IMHO.

Good point!
Trailing arm suspensions are the STUFF! However, leafs are dead nuts reliable for the cost. And I can carry two spares for less than 60 bucks.

I am going for the same idea but I am building mine from frame rail to frame rail and from the rear bumper to the first crossmember. I should be roughly 38x14" or so.
Thanks!
Drew
Thanks, I am planning on doing the first suggestion for sure. However, in the rear, under the main cargo box I am going to build a swing down door with my spare parts, like axles, hubs, drive flanges... This does a few things it allows the COG to be lowered (even if just a few pounds) and I...
