I finished up this 12v project and it worked great for our trip.
About 3k miles round trip with some normal truck camping, some driving on the beach and plenty of hwy miles. The Dometic 65L ran cold all day, the ctek charged the battery quickly and everything else worked great.
I used a Perfect...

Ok, so I finished up this 12v project and it worked great for our trip from Los Angeles to the British Columbia Interior.

What we use. It's easy to use, easy to clean, has a built in wind screen and it's completely self contained. It's on the smaller side but we've used it on many camping trips and picnics and it's always performed.

I'm running all my rear accessories through a blue sea fuse block as well.
I'm going to try and charge the ArkPak both ways and see if I can find something that works well.
Good call on the rollers for the ArkPak!
Interesting, I have a switch in my cab that does the opposite. It closes the circuit for the 2 batteries so if the ArkPak isn't in the truck I can still have power to the 12v accessories in the bed. No way for me to open the circuit while driving as the PowerGate switch closes once it senses...
I'm going to eliminate the ctek charger for now just for economic reasons, but the concept is still essentially the same. I'll wire the Anderson in directly to the fuse block and plug the ArkPak into that for an hour or so and then switch it to the 12v D.C. Charger for the remainder of the...
I'm using the 730 model that accepts group 31 batteries. Right now for my needs I don't foresee us needing more than one battery, and I'll be sure to keep an eye on it to make sure we don't take it below 50%.
We do fairly long drives (6-8hrs) between stops so I'm counting on the alternator and...
Forgive me before I start. I'm going to try to explain this setup as clearly as I can. This is my first time wiring up anything this complicated in my truck and I just want to be sure I'm doing this correctly, not skipping any steps and I'm trying to avoid redundancy.
Im installing a dual...

I bought all of this stuff new from Revzilla, and shortly afterward my wife "mentioned" she was pregnant with my daughter, so I sold the Ducati and bought a Volvo.

Oof! What a pain in the tuchus
These are the things I'm trying to find out. I'm seriously considering just buying an already registered utility trailer locally and then having it tricked out. Sounds like buying out of state and then trying to register is more of a hassle than it's worth.
This is easily one of my favorite builds. No corners cut at all. It's given me so many ideas on what to do with my Tundra now that I've started outfitting it. I really like the water tank/pump/quick connect system. Kudos
If it's just for lights you might want to consider a Trigger Wireless accessory controller.
It has 4 circuits, 2x10 amp and 2x30amp with built in solid state relay's.
The best part is that the controller uses RF with the remote so you don't need to drill or run any wires through your firewall...
Thanks for the replies.
Doesn't sound too complicated to get it registered, the only hitch is whether it gets the RV tag or Utility tag. Obviously the utility tag is the more desirable of the two. Great advise all around!
