My buddy George, from SW Idaho Overlanding, set up this trip to explore the west side of the Owyhee River Canyon. I drove over on Friday and camped near an Oregon Sunstone mine. The next morning I met up with George and the rest of the group near my campsite. We then headed south into the Owyhee...
You ask some good questions, thank you. I am actually working on another video that shows how I set the Jeep up at camp.
In the mean time:
I actually have two different cooking setups that I use when camped.
1. On most of our trips we are moving every day. In this case the large wooden crate...
The layout has worked very well for me over the past year although I still am making minor tweaks to it. The large top wooden box holds my stove, plates, tableware, spices etc. the blue crate below it holds the rest of my kitchen stuff as well as dry and canned food.
My 2015 Jeep Rubicon is my daily driver and the back seats are needed to haul the grandkids around. In this video I show how I convert it from my daily driver to my overland camping rig. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to watch our videos.

Episode 3 of our 2022 Baja adventure is not up on YouTube. In this episode we spend more time relaxing on different beaches, visit some missions, and eat some great food.
In this episode we leave La Ventana, stop in La Paz, and then work our way north along the Sea of Cortez before having to reroute to back to Comondú before heading back to the coast for three days on the beach.
Exploring Baja California, Episode 2
Have been out there in my Ford E350 extended body van it made the creek crossing interesting. The road is long and rough making the view all the beautiful. I recommend spending a couple of days out there.
In the episode we cross the border and do a three day 900 mile run down to La Ventana where we stopped for a few days and enjoyed watching the windsurfers.
