Two changes for 2022.
New roof extrusion with T slot which changes the way the solar panels are installed. I like that change.
2 clear white external lights and an amber light at the rear entrance.
Appreciate the drawings. Would it be possible to have some additional drawings? Would be interested in the 9600 flatbed of the rooftop and how many 200 W solar panels could be fitted with two roof vents also. Another one possibly with the door option shown installed. As examples.
The Forest Air / Rollicool is interesting, price is right, I just wonder how easy it would be to separate the two units and run the coolant line, also the line is 10 feet, much more than needed.
I like the Cruise N Comfort but the $5,000 + entry price is steep.
I would say the preference would be for adhesive. I think overtime as panels become more efficient or dimensions change would be easier to remove if applied with adhesive and not have to repair the roof. That’s one thought. Are you familiar with OEV over in Red Deer?

Kits to place on top of pop up truck campers. Panels of 100w to 200w and the hardware to install. Looking at the hardware in the picture above, is that using an adhesive to attach to the teardrop, or does it physically intrude into the exterior panel?
Yes the key is to be able to maximixe that real estate on the roof. With the 250 pound weight limit and two roof vents I think you can comfortably install either 6 x SunPower 100w flexible panels or 6 x Renogy 100w flexible panels. What I would like to determine is if the SunPower 170w panel...
I wonder how much flexibility they have with their panel supply and design? When the panels are manufactured in the US are they cut to size per model with only the windows and door entry needing to be cut in Red Deer and eliminating the excess waste, or do they get large panels and then cut to...
The great thing with LifePo4 is that change is quick and prices are dropping. There are a lot of brands, which honestly most seem to repackage the same available cells into different packages or features. While still costly the dropping price makes a brand new drop in much more attractive than...
I will add one more from Instagram. Overlanddad. Family of 5 in a Ford CC F250 flatbed with a CAMP-X.
For myself an 8' foot HBE with say a Super Cab, I don't believe storage will be critical, but certainly well used. However I am more interested in being able to fit say 300ah of LiFePo4.
Good to see this change has made it into the 2022 production. The single picture does not really help, could use some updating at least on the website, still lacking information in some ways.
I agree on your points of preserving the utility of the shower pan space. Great for dry storage when...
If you are looking for ideas on how to live full time in an OEV product have a look at Jon Burtt on Instagram. He has a lengthy background living full time in truck campers. Ford SC F250 flatbed with a CAMP-X. He previously had a FWC and a Northstar. Works for him.
Very nice. In terms of US import you’re speaking strictly of the 25 year rule? Is the engine block roughly of the same production time as the original? Reminds me a little bit of a certain South African who currently resides in Australia who built a fantastic machine which was a little more than...
