The RLD topper looks good, I will be checking them out at the overland expo in a couple weeks. At this time they don’t appear to have a dealer in Arizona, but willing to travel to get one if I like what I see.
In excellent condition, 63L, keeps ice cream frozen ? ARB designed it to work outside in the elements and survive abuse, although I never used mine outside was always used in a protected/covered area. Lid has a gas strut which is real handy. Comes with a basket and removable divider, AC and DC...
Been seeing this pair of wild horses for months out on Hermit Road but have never been able to get a picture of them before. They always run back into the trees when I approach them in my bus, this time I was on foot at Hermits Rest. The park visitors on my bus get more excited seeing the horses...
They are good people. When my brother’s trailer was close to the time of it’s completion date there was a serious health issue with one of the family members that really through a wrench in So-Cals operation. It was not going to get done on time which was understandable but the problem I had...
My brother had a early So-cal Krawler that I got to use a few times and liked it for the most part, it went wherever my FJ Cruiser could take it. It did have some issues with the doors warping enough to leak dust/water into cabin. So-Cal did come up with a fix to stiffen up the door and I think...
Like that person in congress said “it’s all about the Benjamin’s”.
Back in the mid 80’s I was registering a new to me 1 ton Chevy dually. The friendly lady at the DMV asked me what GVWR I wanted to register it with. Well I said 10K (can’t remember what the exact number was but that was 35 years...
Only if they stay up all night partying. We had 27 behind our trailer last week 2 of them big bulls. I heard they ended up here because of a recent wildfire they all have tags on their ears. They put up a corral down by the sewer plant trying to catch them.
Later in the morning at Hermits Rest, feral horses a stallion, colt and the mare who was a little further down and behind a tree so didn’t get her in the pics.
Really liking your PW/GFC set up. Been thinking a lot about which direction I want to take my PW in and all have pluses and minuses to them. The weight of the GFC is not bad imho. Cost is up there but so is everything else these days, by the time you get a quality bed cap and rtt your close to...
Bull at the end of the rut 2019. He had a harem of about a dozen cows and a couple of them were standing on the road in front of my shuttle bus and he was next to my side window. I opened the window and asked if he minded me taking his picture he didn’t turn away so I took a few pics, I could...
Mostly around 4K, love the sound of the Hemi when it’s making power! Transmission temp went up to 180 degrees from it’s normal 167 so well within safe operation limits and engine temp never went above normal. Average MPG from the canyon to Colorado Springs was 17.2, back to the Canyon pulling...
The PW at the summit of Wolf Creek Pass, Co. which is almost 11k ft. Elevation. It towed my new 27’ Winnebago TT that weighs 6500lbs dry (had about 40gals. water on board) up the pass at the speed limit and had power to spare. The 8speed transmission held the truck with little brake usage on the...
Thanks. My first mod on the PW was to convert who holds the title on it. Don’t have plans to do a lot of mods to it but probably will change out tires next.
Just paid off the loan on the PW today so celebrated by taking her out and putting it into 4lo, locked the diffs and disco the front swaybar. Didn’t need any of that on the forest service road we were on but it seemed like the right thing to do anyway.
