I believe a much better comparison would be the grand cherokee trailhawk vs the 4 runnner; much more apples to apples....I would love to see an unbiased objective test pitting the 2 against each other and see what comes out on top. I agree though with many of the above comments that the...
Great looking ride there. Will definitely be following along on this one. Reminds me of my 1984 gmc S15 extended cab I had in high school and college. It had the 2.8 and 700r4 which when it grenaded I swapped in a 5spd..loved that truck.
I finally got my new bumper on! Its a Rockhard 4x4 Patriot with carrier. I opted to get it in bare steel and then I painted it to match my Laredo cladding. I think it turned out pretty awesome. Sure will be nice to carry a full size spare again.
This weekend I finally got to start working on this beauty.. Rockhard 4x4 Patriot Series w/ Carrier for the WJ. Painted the back side with rubberized spray on coating and the outside will be finished to match my Laredo cladding. Cant wait to get it finished and installed. It will sure be nice...
Another vote for the cobra 75. I have one in my jeep and really like it alot. I have the bulk of the radio hidden under the dash so that all you see is the mic. Takes up very little room and It's a great radio. Got mine off amazon.
@SnoViking; man that is an awesome looking GC:drool: Personally I really like having a not like everyone else ride. I drive an 03 GC that I love. It has some basic mods that allow me to run 32 inch ATs and has taken me everywhere. I will echo an earlier sentiment though; Grands are just not...
Very nice looking truck you have there. Those raptor take offs are sweet and good choice on the KO2s; I run a set as wheel and think that they are awesome.
In my experience the 4 speed auto is very reliable. Never had to rebuild one, knock on wood, so cant speak to cost of one. As for the tow package; the factory hitch hides behind the rear plastic fascia and there will be a plastic bezel that covers things up. Also there will be a factory 7 pin...
Man does this bring back a flood of good memories; I had a 1984 GMC S15 as my first vehicle. I too had the 2.8 liter (turd) with crappy Rochester carb. On cold mornings I would have to stick a screwdriver down the barrel to hold open the choke so it would start. That was a great vehicle...
Hard to beat a WJ; might be a little biased tho:) I own an 03 Laredo....
The 4.0 is dang near bulletproof and with even just marginal maintenance will take you well into the 200K mile range. All 4.0 liter WJs came with the Selec Trac 4wd system; 2WD, 4WD Fulltime, N, 4WD H, and 4WD L. Its a...
