I’m not asking for anything. Just thought I would post what I run across for anyone else that might be looking. I applaud your approach but that won’t work for me. I’m hoping to find one I can hang on to a while and is in really good condition. I’m not much of a tinkerer and would rather spend...
I’ll start posting some of what I’m seeing.

Please pass them along. I have seen several limited ones and 2 in particular were pretty phenomenal trucks. 1 06 with 70k miles and 1 06 with 33k miles. Both parties wanted $25k and wouldn’t budge on price.
T
. I believe that is a bogus ad. Only 1 pic and minimal information and priced way too cheap. Ad also says it is a 6 cylinder. I don’t believe GM offered a 6 cyl of any type in the HD trucks.
Thanks for the input. We sold our 2013 Tacoma in order to get more interior space and our camper will fit the 1st gen Tundras, hence my search. My wife wants a double cab but then complains about the difficulty of parking it. Haha. Therefore I’m seriously considering the double cabs as well...
RGR Mike - Nice Truck for sure and a fair value based on what I’ve seen. A few too many miles. I might change my mind down the road but since my search is still in it’s infancy I’m gonna try to hold out for a truck with fewer miles.
I have seen several nearby at dealers and they want 30% over the highest book value for them. Im not saying that is not right, I’m just not ready to pull the trigger on something like that just yet.
I am not in a rush and looking for the “needle in a haystack”. I think perseverance will pay off.
On the hunt for a 1st gen Tundra in excellent condition and low miles.
I’m willing to consider all varieties with the 6’ bed but my preferences are:
Year Model 05-06
4.7 V8
4x4
Access Cab
<75,000 miles
Location is not important. I’m willing to travel to get the right truck.
I know they are...

Don’t know if you have found anything yet but Bundutec will build you what you want. If you want a Riptide without the cabover, they will do it. If you want a bivac but a little bigger, they will build it. I’ve heard they are about 16 weeks out on their builds right now.
We chose Bundutec for most all of the reasons you did. We picked up our RipTide feb 2017 and have spent around 45-50 nights in it, one of the trips was a 21 day (5000miles) stretch. Temperatures ranged from 14 degrees to 75 degrees on that trip. Only 500 hwy miles and probably close to 1000 dirt...
There are so many good options now that I disagree with the previous posters. Boards and sails have come a long way. I do agree that the best way to learn is to take a week or 2 and head to hatteras and take lessons and rent gear. There are several options down there. From there you will be able...
Where in the gorge are you? Love your house. We built about 3 years ago and absolutely love it. With regard to your camper....wishful thinking is about as close as I can get.
