It was getting dark as I mounted up the door panel last night, but i still tried to get a couple pics.
Stove fits well and its just the right height. If you look close you can see the power port with the lighting plugged in.
Latch system.
Yesterday I started on my "Northman" Inspired barndoor panel. I bought a sheet of .063 aluminum. I used the original panel for a template. And cut a piece to match. I used rivets to attach the hinge for the table. Also cut out a hole for a power port.
The plan is to power this port from the...

I really like this idea!!
Exactly what i was thinking except on the other side. Behind my ladder/toolbox. Does anyone think airflow would be an issue??
Here's the current setup for reference.
How about the added weight on the hinges?? Any issues there?
For anyone interested, I swapped in one of the windows on Sunday. i was on a tight time constraint so I didn't get any "during" pictures. But if any one is interested I'll get some when i do the other side.
It wasn't difficult at all, just a bit stressfull cutting that big of a hole in the...
Got some more done this weekend.
I ran the wiring harness for the power windows and door locks while I had the dash out.
Swapped in one of thhe rear windows from the parts rig. I was on a very tight time constraint so no pics of the process. I'll get those when I do the next one. Anyway...

Check out this beauty!

Has anyone swapped in windows from a conversion van??
i bought a parts rig this weekend that has some really nice windows in the rear section(large tinted windows with sliders at the bottom, with screens). I would really like to put these in my van.
The design appears pretty simple. The outer...
If I am not mistaken this was the problem. There was a small two prong plug hidden underneath a rubber plug. I removed the plug and ran a jumper wire back to the main + wire coming out of the alternator. To "excite" the alternator. This got the system to charge.(once the engine rpms raise a bit)...
I have a 1981 E-350 Quigley. Its an ex-ambulance. I recently had the alternator go bad on me.
When I pulled the alternator I found it to be an extra heavy duty 165 amp unit, i am assuming this was required for all the interior extras of the ambulance. I sent it to a local shop to see if it...
