ITTOG's Truck Camper Build (was 6' x 12' Trailer Conversion)

Love the design. Have you thought about the steps yet? If not, here's another project for your build :)

ITTOG's Truck Camper Build (was 6' x 12' Trailer Conversion)

Your camper looks great! I'm curious about the back door design. Is it a one piece or two piece design with steps?

Show us what you cook on!

Here's my favorite cooking appliance, but I usually don't bring it if I'm camping by myself. It's great for the family though. It's called a Cowboy Wok.

    Camp Table

I couldn't find what I wanted so I made one. Kills two birds with one stone. It's a cowboy wok/table.

10L "Jerry can", 11L Dometic "Go Hydration" or Rotopax for water?

Scepter 20l works for me. I've made some improvements with the rechargeable faucet.

Show us what you cook on!

I added a couple small cooking appliances to the camper. No power supply, they just run off my truck, while it's running. First is a Road Pro 12volt frying pan. I just plug it in the cigarette lighter. It's slow, but will cook about anything. Next is a Dash Mini. It plugs in my truck's...

    Camp Chair Recommendations

My FrontRunner chairs work for me. They are heavy duty, pack away small, and are tall enough for me 6'2". They feel like they will last forever.

The 7mm Mag is a little overkill for Missouri Whitetail, but it drops them like a rock.

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

No worries, it's great when people post pictures. Funny you brought up electric bikes, I'm caught between buying an electric Bike or a Motorcycle. The Specialized Levo and the Kawasaki KLX300 are about the same price around $6K. It's hard to believe that a mountain bike and a motorcycle cost...

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

Spring is finally here. I’m getting excited to go camping without freezing! My ideas about running the truck’s heater at night or bringing my gas generator to power my electric heater were a pain in the keister. I’ll have to find a better solution before next winter. For now I’ll enjoy some...

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

On a different subject, I've been thinking about taking a dirt bike along instead of my mountain bike on camping trips. I would mount it on a trailer hitch mount on my Gladiator similar to my mountain bike. Ideally it would be street legal, light weight with enough power to do some short highway...

    Dual sport suggestions

I've been thinking about a light trail bike that would fit on the back of my Jeep Gladiator camper. I finally went to my local big motorcycle dealer and checked out Dual Sports and Adventure Bikes. The Kawasaki KLR Adventure is definitely a great deal for a big touring bike, all rigged out for...

Ursa Minor J30 Wrangler vs Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Gladiator?

First off: A big concern is people think the Gladiator will twist like their old pickup does. The picture above shows the Ram on the left with a boxed frame (no twist), and the Ford on the right with a C channel frame twisting. Jeep sells us a very stiff boxed frame so that we can abuse it...

Ursa Minor J30 Wrangler vs Alu-Cab Canopy Camper Gladiator?

Thanks for the question about bed twist and believe it or not, you're not the first to ask.:) Follow the camper seam line in the picture below and I think you'll understand. 1) Look how close the rear door seam is to the cab/bed seam. Any minimal flex happens in the back door seam and...

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

This is definitely one of those "Why the hell didn't I think of that" days. So I've camped about a half dozen times in my rig, and without fail, I have to get up in the middle of the night to take a whiz. I don't want to clean out the porta potty, so I put my shoes on, go outside and do my...

ITTOG's Truck Camper Build (was 6' x 12' Trailer Conversion)

Keep nibbling away at it! You'll be taking it out on it's maiden voyage before you know it. By the way, it will never really be done. There's an endless list of gadgets and projects to stuff inside it.

Looks like the Pelican case would be better suited for the roof, if I ever get around to adding a roof rack over the freedom panels.

Gladiator Pop-Up Pass Through Camper Build

Thanks, I didn't know the O-rings were replaceable. This case must be designed really tight, as it has a pressure relief valve on the side.
