True... I thought about Aluminess for mine, but in the end I wanted a heavy duty steel bumper, so I ordered this and an Aluminess box. IMO there are better places to utilize aluminum. I want something substantial front and rear. Not that they are not, just not as tough as steel. Maybe it's...
Agreed. And I'm not saying don't buy it since it truly is the only option right now. Just know what you are getting into before you do. Most of these things are small issues, but as you and others have said, not something you should have to deal with on a 3k dollar piece of equipment.
This is the response I got from EXP-1.
So bend the plate around the bolts, or remove the bumper studs that support the class V hitch. I don't like that, but I can correct it myself later.
On another note... I did move the tire over and down the maximum amount to allow both gates to function...
Spacers completely change steering axis inclination (SAI). This in turn effects scrub radius as well as suspension feel due to the fulcrum point of the tire spaced out and acting on the suspension. The pivot point of the tire is no longer centerline of the wheel and tire combination. This isn't...
Looks like y'all had a spectacular time! I can't believe all that equipment is just lying around. Almost like there was a fast exodus for one reason or another.
Never had any bull trout, but I assume it would be good eating from those clear waters. Very jealous of that trip. Looks like tons of...
LOL... We need a demo tape! :ROFLMAO:
Yep... Done that maneuver before.
Agreed... It ain't happenin'. No way in hell, hence the bumper location. Much better solution IMO. I honestly think a 35 is too big up there, but I've seen em'.
ROFLMAO!!!!
It is a bit heavy for sure. It helps to roll the tire up your leg to knee height, then pick it up. Or use your MaxTrax as a ramp. I've dealt with this on many occasions, but it sure as hell beats putting in on and pulling it off of the top rack on your topper. Tons of wheelers do...
If it does indeed make a difference, please post up. I have no issue with cutting them off then recoating. I will say however, it isn't a deal breaker. As long as I have a camera behind this beast to help the view out, I am fine. Hell, 10 years ago we wouldn't even be talking about these issues...
Holy crap brother!!! I absolutely HATE hearing this. PDR should get most of it, but the damage to the camper can't be easily repaired. Would love to help in some way if possible. Keep us updated!
Awesome! Yes please do. I will be watching this thread to see for your update. I'm sure they can do exactly what I am looking for, and yours will probably answer all my questions. Thanks!
The gates lock as shown. Approx 95-100°. It isn't at a true 90°. It would be easy however to make a longer lock plate. If you look in the last picture, that plate is easy to remove, and a longer one made and put in place. They will open beyond 180° if you go past the lock without contacting the...
