Im sorry to hear that you are having issues but if it makes you feel better your not the only one. I was on the phone with another coil guy today complaining of lack of lift and ride quality when Loaded down for overlanding. He's going to switch back to Air.
What springs are on it now? You may need longer shocks with an extra 1 1/2 lift depending on the current springs.
Is it rubbing the Rad arms at full lock? A lift will not fix this.
Todd is a very nice guy.
Yes you can get the ARB for around $1300 or the Platimum winch bumper for a $1000 but if you want the best hidden mount Devon is it. This mount was used by Land Rover on the millionth Discovery campaign.
The goal is to get the mounts with the recovery eyes here for $1150 -$1250 delivered.

I was able to spend some time with the Disco Sport and I think it would do fantastic for you in the WI winters and handle fire type roads with out a hick-up. But the other two vehicles you are comparing it to are much larger. To be apples to apples you would want to compare it to an LR4...
The OME stuff is good. The down side is the price and the shocks are standard length. You will gain no down travel from the suspension lift. This can be good and bad all the same.
Less flex: Less possible problems.
More Flex : More traction.
Tf had a bad run of shocks a few years back. Those shocks have been haunting them ever since. I would definitely not recommend old stock terra firma shocks. Most of them were good but there was some that went bad right away. TF went to a new shock factory and you can tell which shocks these are...
Some of the TF stuff is good and some is bad. Thats why I am asking questions instead of passing immediate judgment. It's better to have a working knowledge of the product then to write everything off.
The damaged shock is a plus 2in shock. Did the truck have extended bump stops? Was it using...
Agreed.
Just trying to understand why it failed. The shock could be crap or could it have been over inflated with nitrogen who knows what causing the seals blowout. This would also make the ride quality horrible. I know this happened on one set that we sold to a customer he wanted the truck to...
We do not know if any nitrogen was being used or too much, but none of that matters because you are paid to bash stuff rovers north does not want to sell.
