I should have more info in the next couple weeks. Thinking late April or early May if it works out as planned.
Thanks for checking in! How are you liking the Hundy? Especially compared to your old monster of an 80? Loved that rig.
UPDATE
This thread is currently farther along than our blog...
Thanks! The 2UZ is king. haha Seriously my favorite Toyota engine for a 4x4.
Hey Durwin, Thank you for the kind words and following along. Those are some large expectations to live up to! There are a lot of nice 4th Gen 4Runners out there. I just hope I can build one that meets my needs and...
I agree on the large lugs, they are not ideal for winter driving. However, I see too much benefit in the MT and Hybrid MT/AT tire to fully go to an AT tire. Once offroad a true AT just doesnt hang with the MT's in the terrain that I most frequently run on. I ran my Toyo MT's (Tundra), MTR...
They are (were) 17x8.5 straight from SCS. With the OMF conversion they are sitting closer to 17x9.25". I will also be running Bora 0.75" wheel spacers with my setup on all 4 corners to try and achieve the offset I am after. I forget what I calculated the final offset (with spacers) included to...
Haven't had time to do this yet. BUT there is a small hump in the rear portion of the front seat rails. People have cut the rail (slits in the sides), folded the rail so it lies flat on the floor, and re-drilled the rear seat mounting hole. It drops the seat by a couple inches which is awesome...
Nice updates! That is definitely my favorite 3rd Gen Tacoma front bumper. Tucks up so tight!
What Canon did you end up with? We shoot with a Canon 6D and a Sony A6300 w/Metabones Canon adaptor. I've been pleasantly surprised by the little A6300 in terms of its 4K ability and low light...
Appreciate you digging up info for the 4th Gen. I'll search his username on T4R and see what I come up with.
I am in a similar predicament with my front bumper... I have a Pelfreybilt aluminum and need to create turn signals as the factory ones are also in the OEM front bumper. I am not sure I...
Wow awesome work on the Prinsu. I was actually in contact with Zach early in my Tundra build and he was willing to make a model for the 1st Gen Tundra. By the time I was ready to pull the trigger, his brand had exploded and he no longer had the time to work with me on a Tundra version. Glad to...
Agreed. Nate really nailed the color scheme on it. That OEM green just pops in the sun, especially with the orange beadlocks. A few more pics of it here if you're interested:
Colossal 2016
Awesome build. Such a unique setup and something truly different than the masses. I applaud all the mods and even your unique color scheme!
Any build thread on that LT 4th Gen?!? I need some bad ideas....lol
EDIT: Any pics of where you mounted the Rigid Amber turn signals up front?
Yah Vin is a great dude and has an eye for detail. His wheel designs are super clean and his price point and color options make them hard to find any faults. Always good customer service as well!
You'll have to fire Vin and email for pricing. I am a member of TeamStealth and pricing is kept...
Not a deal breaker for most, but when I was considering both, the front torsion bar suspension in the 100 turned me off. It won't cycle as much travel as a 4R and has more limited suspension options in the aftermarket for the front, as far as bolt on solutions. Size is a big differentiator...
