    2012 JKL Rubicon build

They are mounted on a single sheer to thin tin, and they don't protrude from the body. In a situation like this, which is common place where we wheel, my tin would be destroyed. This is my old Jeep

    JK on 40s???

Just recognize the difficulty of sourcing 40" tires if needed If you could get 60s in SAE 10 lug, you could run 20" HMETT beadlocks and surplus 42" Michelin XLs. Those are easy to come by surprisingly.

    2012 JKL Rubicon build

i got one of my new to me 37's mounted today (my spare) and stuck it on the rear axle at ride height to see if it would fit. wouldnt even mount. bastard pinch seam was in the way. the rear axle needs to be kicked back about a full inch. i'll do that this weekend, but i was more concerned with...

got some new to me 37x12.50R17 KM2's! should be going on this week looking into adding the "large" single ARB compressor with the EVO bracket to supplement my C02. the C02 tank is massive enough that it shouldnt have any issue supplying enough gas for tools, air mattress, and multiple re-airs...

    JK on 40s???

to do 40's correctly, you'll need to also set aside roughly $15,000 for a pair of new axles too. 37s are expensive to do, 40s are just plain nuts. 35" tires are the BEST option for an overland JK. you wont stress parts too much and tires are cheaper and easier to find, all the while maintaing...

    Lets talk portable air compressors

have you considered a large capacity C02 system? i just finished building this setup for mine. i plan to supplement it with a small ARB compressor for auxiliary - but this holds nearly 4 gallons of liquid C02. it will flow 300PSI at 45CFM

    Cruiser Therapy: LaOutbackTrail's FJ62 Landcruiser

northridge4x4.com is pretty exclusive to Jeep parts, but David is the biggest purchaser of ARB (and subsidiary) products/components in the country. shoot him an email (sales@northridge4x4.com) and ask him what kind of price he can do for you on OME toyota stuff (he can get it easily)

Need to do something about my steering

the currie stuff is NASTY. get it if you can afford it - its entirely worth it. Savvy has an upgraded tie-rod for the currectlync system too. you can buy the system with the savvy tie rod from savvy and save some coin. Blaine Johnson designed it from 1.5" heat treated solid stock spring steel...

    2012 JKL Rubicon build

yeah. the rear antirock is actually quite a bit stiffer than the factory sway, while the front is a small fraction lighter. it really makes a big difference in stability offroad. i dont know if i posted this picture in the thread already - but this is with both antirocks fully flexed out with...

    2012 JKL Rubicon build

I'm still running the factory hardware, I don't see a need to upgrade personally. Obviously control arms and track bars make a big difference, but I think the things that make the most difference are Offroad swaybars. Specifically antirocks. People don't understand really how big swaybars are...
