I intend to follow your build. The Armada seems terribly underrated here in the States.
What has been your experience using this vehicle for typical "overlanding" activities. I'm not interested in rock crawling. More into BDRs, etc.

This is a beautiful setup and very well done presentation. My congratulations!
Why don't you just sell the whole vehicle/Ursa Minor setup as one unit? Wish I had the $$ right now and I'd make you an offer.

How many miles? Did I miss that? The Missuz and I are in our 70's and this is what I am looking for.
BTW, like your YouTube site. Two vans one too many?

The Old Fart
Beautiful minimalistic build. To me this would be a much more desirable vehicle over a sprinter-type van. If the rebuild was done properly this engine should last a long time without issues.
I can't tell from the pics on this site; is it a dually?
Very nice system and very close to us. One question about your ad; do you mean Land Rover 5 bolt wheel pattern instead of Land Cruiser? I thought all Toyotas come with a six bolt pattern. Looks like you have been using a LR for a tug.
I read his writeup. He seems VERY impressed. Jonathan is still one of the few writers in overlanding who I still fully respect. Personally, I hope that this vehicle doesn't get the Land Cruiser/Land Rover treatment here in the U.S. A functioning and functional vehicle is what I would be after.
So you purchase a van in WA state (where I Iive), drive it to NJ, where you finish repairing all remaining issues with it, and then the wife says NO! Now I should make you an offer you can't refuse and drive it back to eastern WA in the middle of the snowiest winter we've had in years. Then my...
I was getting sick of the mess in the back of the 4Runner when doing extending 'adventures'.
So I added one of Al Smith's Overland Kitchens and a couple of Life Saver jerry cans. Pic below is during installation and before the Camp Partner stove was installed. Air track on top of the kitchen...
Will this be viewable in the next couple of days? My wife and I are in Hood River about to do a waterfalls adventure tomorrow. Next is Astoria to view the sun setting over the Pacific. After that a trip down the OR coast. On the way home we could stop in Bend and check this out.
Very sorry about that. The awning is the only thing that sold so far. I have decided to remount the Gobi ladder. so now only the Front Runner jerry can mount (can include jerry cans for additional amount) and the aluminum propane tank mount remain.

I am incredibly impressed with this build, as I stated earlier. but I wonder what the present stock market melt down along with stratospheric fuel prices are going to do to the Overlanding market.
