I really like this build. It exudes quality, simplicity, maintainability. Two axles, no towing. Enough room for two old f*rts. Access and egress doable. Can you explain how one accesses the sleeping area? SWMBO and I are getting old. We gave up RTTs because climbing ladders at night became an...
Mike, which awning is that? I have one of the original Darche 270's. Just went down this past week and pulled it off of poor Beastie's carcase. I was thinking of installing it on the T4R but the uplifting tailgate would get in the way.

I have incredible news for all. I spoke directly with Mark this morning. In fact, we did a FaceTime from his new factory in Winnepeg. My insurance company is writing off Beastie. Mark will be building me a replacement. Everything about these newer trailers is much better, beefier, and...
Still awaiting the insurance company's final decision. They are waiting to hear for the frame/suspension specialty shop in Bend. doesn't look good. Very, very disappointed.

The pics will be forthcoming. Need to get it back into town to check out the other side and bring it home. Will have...
Presently stuck in Bend, OR on a expensive weekend with ghastly hotel rates. Lost Timbren axle to structural failure over 70 miles from here in sage steppe. Removed Timbren and now looking for a welder around the Bend area. Can anyone help? Pics to follow when I get home.
OBDR was fun while it...
Looks like you're having a great time, Mike! My brother and I will be heading out tomorrow morning for the OR/CA border. We'll be doing the OBDR with a group of ROFs starting the 245th. Hope it cools down a bit.

What I've always done is to crouch with my back touching the roof, then use my legs to push it up. Do somewhat the same thing for closing; gently let it down using your legs instead of just dropping it.
My brother from Minnesota will be joining me in a couple of days. We will be doing the Oregon Backcountry Discovery Route with several other ROFs and their rigs. This will be the first extended time out this year for the Beastie. Nanc and I are looking at several short outings during July and...
I only turn the pump system on when using it in camp, etc. otherwise it remains off while traveling. My tank is 37 gallons. How big is yours?
Learn to conserve water. When showering quickly hose down, shut off water, soap up from feet to head then turn water back on only long enough to rinse...
