I had to order a bunch of parts. In the meantime, there are many odd projects to work on.
Installed this neat little 120v power monitor. Now I can accurately measure both 12v and 120v power usage.
For like a year I have been toying with the idea of a lock for the pocket door into the cab...
We dove in deep. It is what it is. Everything is on hold now that the van is officially stranded.
Looking down the side of the block under the problem area. That looks terrible...
Lots of white fluffy stuff caked on everything underneath. Not sure how to clean all this. I'm assuming this the...
Yep, not good. But it is still drivable. Just need to add two gallons of coolant every time the fuel tank gets filled up. But that is getting old really quick and things are going south quick.
No no no, bad, all bad!
Driving at night on some county backroad in VA and the engine temperature gauge started climbing. Normally it's been sitting way too cold, like 100 degrees all the time. I shut her down and pulled over before bad things happened. All the coolant in the radiator was...
Yes, I believe any lithium battery will suck more power from your alternator than it can deliver and poof. I think if my starter battery ever did die, I will just hit the switch for the Amp L Start and go make a samich and watch a movie and then start the engine.
That's unfair. You can't compare a 6.blow to a 7.3, very different engines.
I've also always wondered about jumping myself or someone else with my lithium battery bank. Is it really ok to just jumper cable them up or is some damage going to happen?
Ok, c'mon guys, lets focus on the important things here like R values and Btu's! The hot tub is pretty freaking cool, but we gotta make it more user friendly. Ground insulation? Automatic temperature control? Air bubbles?
Everyone should have a hot tub. Mine a little small I know, but size...
Oh boy, that thing does sound heavy. Hopefully that wood piece doesn't fall out when you don't want it to! Electric actuators would be cool. Keep up the good work, can't wait to see the final product!
Roadtrips are good for the soul and bonds between friends! But in order to play, there is always work to get done! Also glad the van has six belt seats.
"Business business business..."
The good thing about having other people travel with you is that when you need a break from driving, you...
I have kind of the opposite problem. I'm always on the hunt for the obscure. I swear, if I see one more Sprinter van build their kitchen in their sliding side door! Haha, jk, I know that really is the best location for that. But I like to see the weird and extraordinary stuff people do. Forget...
Ok, so the tires were really bad. Like even for my standards, and JB Weld wasn't going to help! They had to go. Some other electrical odds and ends.
Unfortunate that I had to buy 6 of these, but if the tires are too old or worn out, you really need to get new tires. Hopefully these will treat...
Winter is the worst. Why? Because I can't drive with the doors open! And when it's nice out, don't want things falling out of the cab...
The side doors flip flop and make terrible noises. Made some door bushings out of some nylon pieces laying around that were supposed to be sliding door...
