Jerry.....have a soak for me down there. I always stop at the springs when I cross over to Baja and bury the pistol there. Got a special spot I always bury it. Thanks for the compliment on the blog. Be safe out there and keep posting. I'll be back on the road in two weeks and will be out...
I'm on a roll. Got another update to the blogsite done. Here you go, if interested: http://nowheretobetour.blogspot.com/2018/02/mojave-trail-baja-part-2.html
Finally got the mass of pictures I took sorted out so I've gotten around to an update to the blogsite. This is part 1 of the trip Petey and I spent on the Mojave Trail and the following weeks we spent in Baja. If you're interested about the travels you can click here to get the goods...
Jerry....wish I had known you were in Quartszite back in Jan. I hadn't checked the forum for a few weeks so I missed your posts. I stopped and camped outside of town for a couple of nights coming up out of Baja. Appears we were there during the same period. Would have been nice to finally meet...
I've been to Alaska several times and whatever you go in you'll love the trip. Don't blow through BC on the way up as it's just as good. I've got a FWC that I wouldn't be without. I've had a RTT before and in my opinion it doesn't come close to the FWC but I'm sure others will disagree...
Should be fun. Couple of my friends are now living over there and loving it. I just got back to the NorthWest after spending two months in Baja so I'll be posting an update soon.
1. Don't have any. Common sense, shovel and a good tow strap. Are you really going places you need a hi-lift?
2. Don't have any. I've been everywhere in mine from the Bering Sea to the tip of Baja and at no time did I need to haul extra gas. (240 miles range)
3. Don't have camper water but...
I've got an ARB which I've had for years. I'd buy one again without question. Trust me, once you have a fridge you'll wonder how you ever lived with a cooler and ice. If it fits in the place you're wanting to place I'd say buy it.
Your welcome....glad you and Tucsontom have followed along.
Processed a few more pics so I'll post up here and then call it good on the China trip. Loading back up in the Toyota and FWC in a week or two and headed south......Baja bound.
I found this very interesting. In the parks here...
My recent travels put me out of the camper and into an airplane. Since this isn't an overlanding report I'll certainly understand if the moderators yank it off here but I thought I'd post since to me it's an update on my travels in between trips in the camper. I was going to post up on my...
So many roads, so little time................
Picture taken on a trip up in the Chilcotin Range, British Columbia a few weeks ago. For additional pics you can visit my blogsite listed below.
The wildlife shots were taken with a Nikon D500 and a Nikon 200-500 MM. Most everything else was shot with a Nikon D7100 with either a Sigma 10-20 MM Wide Angle, Nikon 35MM Prime or a Nikon 18-200 Telephoto. Thanks for the compliment on the pics.
