got the rear tire carrier finished off today with the help of my dad
started off by welding on another piece of 3/16X4X8" flat stock over the old piece, welded along all four edgees & filled in the bolts holes from the back side & used the step bit to get nice straight 1/2" holes on the 5.5"...
unless theres heavy intermod I leave the receive ctcss or dcs tone off
if you're traveling, it makes it easier to hear other possible repeaters along the way
Mike had to get back to his girlfriend so me & Mojo went for a ride in Chittenden
She wanted some practice driving my rig, I gave her a speed limit of 25mph not to exceed & she did very well
& then we headed home

Got the new fender painted inside & out with a couple layers of rustoleum gloss black
& the interior sections of the fender got a heavy layer of rubberized undercoating over them for good measure

at a tree about 50' away, its insane how bright & wide these are
ok got the drivers side done, here was my progress along the way
opened it up to see how bad it was behind there, all was good whew
coated everything with a heavy coat of etching primer, hence the green color
cut it out to fit in the panel

feeling good today after my radio frequency nervation on the back yesterday
so I decided it was time to get those roof LED's finally live wired
$6 for more wire and 1 hour later
yeah scared me too
just order the last piece, the wheel arch repair panel/kit, carid had it the cheapest $79 with 3day priority shipped
though every place I called like them was having it dropped shipped directly from sherman, but was more $$, hate to be frugal
should be here by friday
