BTW, my BFG KO2's sure throw up a LOT of gravel unto the fenders of the trailer. Anyone have any good suggestions for rear mudflaps for on a 5th gen 4Runner?
I do have a plywood floor; marine grade birch to be exact. Called Mark to confirm that.
Nanc and I just got back from a quick three day/two night trip up the St Joe River. Short sunny days and cold damp nights. Will try to get some pics and a bit of a story up in the morning. Going to bed...
For those of you who don't know, Mark created the Off Grid series of trailers before moving on to starting up Mission Overland. That is why there are so many structural similarities. I'm sure Off Grid has continued to upgrade their models in the two or so years that Mark has not been associated...
What tires are those? I went with six lug wheels and BFG KO2 same size as my T4R. Wonder if you Could have installed 5 lug wheels on your trailer when you bought it. That way you could have two spares all the time.
Here is a pic of Mark and Nanc up in Bonners Ferry, ID this summer. For...
Mike, great to see you and wifey still out living th good life. We’re pretty much stuck inside due to the hazardous air quality conditions. Three days so far. At least the air quality index has dropped from over 500 to just over 300. Weather forecast is grim, no change until possibly this...
Last winter Beastie spent the life of luxury in Mark's heated building. This winter I am worried about everything you guys are. My plans are to dump as much water out of the system, remembering that I have an older original tank than you, and keeping it in a unheated storage garage. I have...
Let us know how that turns out. You've gone through a bit of the nasties, but I'm really impressed on how you are working through everything. Keep it up!

Mike, do you now plan on replacing the original damper with the heavier 5200 version? If the unit are essentially the same that shouldn't be that difficult. This is something good to know.

Back in the late 1990's I was driving about in a 1990 short wheel base Range Rover. I had a real love/hate relationship with that vehicle. At any rate, Land Rover North America was trying to promote their version of the adventure lifestyle at the time. They were about a decade too soon in the...
Um, I can only answer for myself and Beastie. We have well over 10 K miles on Beastie. The only issue we have had so far is a slider for the sink/stove pull out. Mark replaced it with a newer better design. Other than that we have really enjoyed it to the fullest. I would love to take it up...
I had a '97 T4R that I took on many, many overlanding trips throughout the west. These guys are little tanks. Yours looks like it is in exceptional shape. It should give the future owner many wonderful memories of trips taken. The frame shots are to drool over. GLWS.

this is something I mentioned much earlier, but is worth restating. Looking at the picture above reminds me of another thing I like about this setup. The distance between the center of the front and rear axles on the 4Runner is just about the same as the distance from the center of the rear axle...
Mike, I tend to agree with RockyMountainOverlander. You aren't exactly an asphalt warrior. :) In fact your approach to overlanding is making you the perfect test bed for Mark's trailer. If I were him I'd be taking notes on everything you do and how you do it. It will only make for a better...
