Tom....thanks for the complitment and yes, it is a simple black and white conversion. If I recall some adjustments were made by darkening the blacks and added some contrast on the slides along with the gradient filter adjustment. All done through Lightroom
Finally made it out to Homer, Alaska. It's only 200 miles from Anchorage but it's taken me a week to cover that. Trust me when I say there is a lot to see and do in that 200 miles. That, along with the fact that I've got to be the slowest traveler in the world.....

Thanks for viewing!
After spending 6 nights in Denali National Park I decided it was time to move on. I had really needed to just lay up for a while and give myself a rest. I had now covered well over 5000 miles, and had been on the road for about a month and other than a couple of nights had...
After leaving Wrangell-St Elias I continued west skirting the Cooper River Basin towards GlenAllen. From there it was north up towards Paxson where I would get on the Denali Highway headed to the Denali National Park. My plan was to lay up for 5-7 days once in the park. Would have to pay...
After doing the Top of the World Highway and crossing into Alaska, I was headed towards the town of Tok and then west towards Glennallen. In between lies Wrangell-St. Elias National Park where I planned to set up camp for a while and spend a few days in one spot. After almost a month on the...
Jerry.....you've got to give that area where one is guaranteed to see bears. My favorite subject to shoot. Here's one I took last month in Alaska. Sorry our paths didn't cross while up north as Petey and I would have enjoyed sharing a camp with you and your buddies.
Update to the blog: www.nowheretobetour.blogspot.com
First update in some time. Updates have been slow in coming due to bad internet service but hope to catch up.
Tombstone Park on the Dempster Highway
Have been working my way north and am currently in Denali. No update to the blogsite due to slow internet but thought I'd throw a few pictures up. South/North Canol and the Dempster were highlights in the Yukon area. Lots of dirt, mud, wildlife and scenery. Will hopefully update blogsite...
Jerry....I'll be at Laird Hot Springs tomorrow and still working my way north. I've been screwing around quite a bit coming up and am not as far north as planned. After a night or two at the hot springs I'm planning on doing the Campbell Hwy up to Ross River and possibly the Canol as far as I...
Loaded up, leaving this morning and headed north to Alaska and the Yukon Territory for a little roam about. No set destination, just going north for now. Not riding the bike up this time but taking the camper and a new to me trailer set up. Petey is on this roam about as well. Let the...
Jerry.... been following along. As you know I'm headed that way soon. If you haven't been to Haines, Alaska I would highly recommend it. Nice little town with a great campground out on the lake outside of town. If the salmon are running the river will have grizzlies as well. The drive is...
No problem, gives me something to do! Glad you're following along.
Dave.... you guys should go up to the Overland Expo in Asheville with that tricked out rig of yours. Hopefully we'll run across each other again and share a few more cold ones. I think meeting people like you on the road is...
