My best wishes to you and your family also. Yours was one of the most fun, fact filled, and enjoyable ads I've ever had the opportunity to follow. As I have stated several times in the past, had the Lotto Goddess smiled on me, your rig would be sitting in my driveway by now.
Stay safe, have...
We need some pictures of the out of doors! Something to keep us dreaming about our next overlanding trips. These Arrowleaf Balsumroot plants are beginning to show up in the woods in eastern and central WA. They are a sure sign that summer is almost here.
That two bike hitch is awesome! I started playing around with their 3D rendering, spinning it around, up and down. Fun! It looks well built. Have you seen one in person?
I had two issues with Beastie. The drawer system for the frig/stove wasn't working properly. Mark replaced it with a new...
Mike,
The cameras are really a great idea. Explain again if they are wireless and what device are you viewing them with. They look extraordinarily robust. Where did you get them. I would love to have something like that on the rear of the trailer that I could view from both the driver's...
We put over 9,000 miles on the trailer last summer. Lots of gravel and some two track. Dust never seemed to be an issue with Beastie. Our door seals seemed to be very good.
That’s a great idea. Let me know what you come up with.
I was planning on trav the Heart of the West loop this fall its creator, Tony Huegal, recommends taking two spares along. We’ll have to wait and see if we can do it this year.
I’ve combined my inability to work on Beastie with my post surgery PT. My therapist strongly recommended getting a bike. I took him seriously and picked up a Trek Marlin 7. The farkling has begun! I’ve added Bontrager Ion front and rear strobe lights, rear rack, tool pouch, a bike stand, 3“...
Has anyone tried mounting a Viair 400 under the hood? I'm beginning to think It would be easier to have it mounted there and just carry the hoses, etc. in a small case in the back of the tug.
Hi Adam! Never say never. I am helping a young friend get his Tech license for overlanding purposes 2m & 70cm, just like you.. He is suddenly showing interest in HF too, especially CW! So I'm loaning him the equipment to get on board VHF, UHF, and HF.
As my Avatar suggests, I am a ham radio operator. Sometimes, once hams have made contact with another station the two stations send out a postcard to one another confirming the contact. These postcards are called QSL cards. This is what mine looks like. The photo was taken last summer before...
I spoke with Mark just awhile ago. We're trying to figure out how to get my trailer across the border. Looks like he MAY be able to tow it across using his commercial license. I'll be checking to see if I can cross far enough from the American side to pick it up in Canada. He has made the...
