Transit seats in a Ford E-series?

I just came across a nice pair of Transit seats for $50. The mounting dimensions of their tracks where they bolt into the floor are 17.5” side to side and 16” front to back. That’s a way bigger footprint than my E350’s (10.75” side to side and 13.25ish” front to back). Has anyone pulled this...

    For sale: 1999 White 7.3 diesel E350 RB cargo w/barn doors, 135K mile, $8K

I originally bought this with grand plans, but time and finances never intersected for me, and now I have to move from my house with a used car lot sized driveway into a small place. I didn’t know it when I bought the van, but the ‘99 through early ‘01 7.3’s are more sought after because they...

For sale: 2002 E150 Fixed hightop conversion RB, 4.6L V8, barn doors, 149K mi, $2800

I bought this van for my ex. She wanted to turn it into a mobile hair studio. She was supposed to pay me back for it but never did. It’s still around but she’s not. Power windows, door locks, mirrors, cruise, front and rear AC. Popout window on the front barn door. Runs well. I was actually...

Does the 4x4 conversion have low range? What about the AWD?

    cross-shopping high top installers...

I like the looks of both, but I don’t think the Tufport is quite tall enough in the front half if you’re over 6’1” and have insulation and flooring.

    cross-shopping high top installers...

Those Hightopvan tops look good. They look to be a reverse flange design. Have you talked with them? I’d be curious to know about that and how much install and supplies run.

    High Top Awning Install

Agreed. Looking at my high top, I feel like I would need to manually curve the mounts slightly to match the shape of the top.

    High Top Awning Install

I’ll be interested to see the feedback on this. Out of curiosity, why not make the exterior mounting points a full plate like the interior, rather than “feet”?

YAAC - Yet Another Ambulance Conversion

The 80/20 seat base is cool. Could you use it to add a drawer under the seat?

A guy on the SMB forum did Sprinter seats too. Mounting pics start at post #100 here.

Back in a van-FINALLY or Overland-ish style build: take 2

Yes I understood this. I guess I’m thinking back to the days of TV/VCR combos. When the VCR failed, you had to buy both again. Or phone/fax/copiers.

Back in a van-FINALLY or Overland-ish style build: take 2

Man such a compact unit to do both jobs. How is reliability with these? I’ve always wondered what happens if one function fails on a trip? Do you lose the other also? And if it’s not reparable do you have to replace the entire unit?

    Design/Layout Feedback for a First-time Camper build

Here’s a great video on a higher quality Chinese diesel heater. The reply to the first comment also mentions an HLN heater that is “equally good with quieter pump, brushless fan, and nicer air intake pipe filter combo.” Manufacturer info here. Here’s a thread with a really clean integration of...

    Big skylights on Amazon

Eric, somewhere here or on SMB forum I saw a van with a Webasto panoramic roof. Might have been an older model than the ones you see at the link, but it was super nice. Came with a retractable blackout shade and retractable screen and was easily big enough to crawl through.
