    Sketchup - Custom slide-in pop-up camper drawing

I downloaded google sketchup a few days ago and started playing. I drew up a design for a slide-in pop-up camper (similar to four wheel camper) for my 06 F150 crew cab 5'7" bed. I would like some opinions on it. And yes I know it would be heavy! -- Skip ahead to photo's if you're easily...

    Ram Suction Cup Mounts

I'll add another note that they work great! I've used mine for weeks in my truck with a garmin aviation GPS496 map. I also have the same GPS in the helicopter that I fly, mounted to the windscreen with garmin's suction mount. Holds great even with constant vibrations and temperature changes.

Trying to design a slide in w/penthouse

If you're going over the cab, why doesn't the tent top extend to the front? Seems like a waste of space imo. What good is the section of the cab over except maybe small storage? Also ( I know it is just a rough drawing ) but why is the camper so high above the cab? Might as well make it a...

Pic request of BFG KM2s in 255/85/16

I'm running the KM2's on my F150 in a 35x12.50R18 load rating D. I only have a couple thousand miles on them so far, but I love them. Balanced well with only a few ounces on each wheels, they are very quiet for an MT (but they always are when they are new). We had an ice storm with a good solid...

    Ford Ranger build up....

Even in stock form you can fit a 33x10.50 on a 15x7. Or a 32x11.50. With fiberglass fenders you could likely fit some 33x12.50's on a 15x8's, and pull the bedsides out about 2".

Where are all the syncro people??

I miss my syncro :( I had a 86 syncro, dark grey, with 15" wheels. No lockers, but it was still a great rig. The rear seat folded into a bed, and I removed the center seat and made a cabinet with a 12v fridge and propane stove. Nice dark curtains, battery isolator and aux battery. I sold it a...

    Full size truck questions

I think you're on the right track with a 2-4.5" lift and 35's, gears and (atleast one) locker. That truck will get you just about anywhere you want to go. There are some places you won't fit, sure, but you will be able to easily explore all over the western half. You might miss a few trails in...

    Show Me Your Winch Bumpers!!!

Here is the bumper I had on my 98 Ranger. It was built by http://www.badlandbumpers.com/ near Seattle. I never did put a winch in it because I sold the ranger... I'd love to get him to make one for the F150 if I had the money and weren't on the other side of the country...

Lets see some full size pictures...

The 35's are a tight fit, but I have no rubbing at all so far. I haven't fully cycled the suspension yet though, I plan to disconnect the swaybar and find out if/where they might contact anything. They only work with the stock wheels (7.5" wide with 5.5" backspacing). Any more backspacing and...

FS: Yakima Megawarrior basket w/ spare tire mount (Kentucky)

I'm selling my Yakima Megawarrior basket that I bought about a year ago. It was on my sport trac, and I removed the rack before trading it in. I'm also including Yakima's spare tire mount. No rust on the rack, no scrapes. The rust colored spots are just water drops from the long bolt of the...

    Newbie with questions...

A yakima megawarrior basket will mount to the factory roof rack rails, just need some hardware and a drill. Had mine for over a year, no problems. I can stand on it with my spare tire with no deflection in the factory rails. I wouldn't go spending a ton of money with that many miles...
