Update: Jun. 15, 2011
Finally got my E-locker axle cleaned up and replaced the axle seals.
The Dirt Duster is going to have a busy weekend! I've got a lot of things to get done before Crowsnest!
+1 for the Stubbs HD-SKO. Just had mine welded on. I like that the kickout is hardly noticeable and they do tuck nice and close to the body so, as said above, they dont stick out like a sore thumb!
Also amazing weld quality, the only guy I've heard of who re-enforces the ends by driving...
^Cool! I never even thought of that! It may be something to do in the future!
As per my dash LED's, I got them from SuperbrightLEDs.com
I retrofit headlights in my "spare" time and have found superbrightLEDs to be of a higher quality than most.
The following photo is from my Crowsnest Pass, AB Trail Run. The rest of the photos can be viewed here: http://www.toyota-4runner.org/off-roading-home-monst4rs/90144-crowsnest-pass-canada-may-2011-trip-report.html
Newest Updates - June 1, 2011
Despite the lack of updates in this thread...
I would agree to many posts above. 98-00 are IMO the best years to own. I was originally looking for a "Limited" 3rd gen. T4R so that I got the locker from factory. I ended up settling on a 98 SR5 auto, 4x4, no sunroof. I LOVE the extra headroom w/out the sunroof, I'm actually happier with the...

I got around to installing my B&M transmission cooler. Easy enough except getting those hoses back on the transmission hard-lines gave me a bit of grief. I flushed the old radiator cooler using some solvent and...

Im also just curious, when loading up your bed-rack for the RTT did you ever find the bedsides start to spread apart from the weight? I know guys with 2nd Gen Taco's that had the bedsides bend outwards when they built a rack that anchored on the top of the bedsides vs. the floor of the bed...

They upgraded the headgaskets upon the recall. The "old" gaskets were cork I believe and the new ones weren't. The headgaskets are still an issue either way... some people will go 300K miles on the original headgasket while others will go through them every 60k miles.
Mostly its due to poor...

Great photos as usual! The KM2's look great, Im also planning on running them in the spring, keep us posted on how you like them. Your rig is seriously progressing.
Out of curiosity, what do you shoot with (lens/camera)?? If I missed it in this thread I apologize.
I really like the look of it. Especially how it seems the trend for front bumpers is more often than not, "plate style." Im not saying I prefer either but its nice to see something different. Im really liking that bumper on your truck!! plus it doesnt have a ridiculously huge stinger on it!!
