'96 Discovery Eco Challenge 70k miles!

W/E bump- this is as nice a D-I I have seen since they were new, a little pricey, but you have to drive it to believe it!!

    '86 Defender 110 Tithonus modded

The Tithonus trucks are pretty much all gone into private hands. I had two, and the other sold without advertising. We are fortunate to have plenty of room to store it for you if you are ready to purchase, and have it waiting your return home!

'83 Defender 110 HCPU Lara Croft clone

Thanks!! Funny, I figured it would go to a Tx rancher/hunter, as it would be perfect for same.

The rear hoop of the Tithonus cage- we added tabs, and used rubber pucks above and below to prevent the top from cracking.

'83 Defender 110 HCPU Lara Croft clone

Every effort has been employed to make this as accurate a recreation as possible! We started with a RHD HCPU with only 60k miles! The vehicle was disassembled, chassis/axles sand blasted and acid etched primed/painted. The entire body (individual panels hung and painted) was painted Bonatti...

    '86 Defender 110 Tithonus modded

Here is an opportunity to have a Defender that was completely overhauled by Land Rover for the MOD!! Only 80k original miles total!! Rust free example that runs great, returning 25 mpg from a fully mechanical diesel engine - zero electronics. So, we took this amazing platform, and modified it...

'96 Discovery Eco Challenge 70k miles!

When was the last time you were able to purchase a brand new Discovery Series I - much less an event truck? This Discovery spent it's life in Las Vegas following the event in British Columbia back in 1996. The good news is there is ZERO rust at all, anywhere, and only 70k miles!! The bad news...

    Liquidating several Rovers and parts

Just making a general notice, as I will be listing each Rover individually in the for sale section. In the interim, see http://www.thervrbarn.com/vehicles-for-sale.html for some nice expedition prepared rigs- and a pretty serious wheeler if so inclined, which is also a great DD ;-) Cheers!

    '13 E-350 EB Clydesdale 4x4

It was a 5.0, and got 20 regularly on trips until the 35's- then seldom above 16, and the tires were mild A/Ts. I assume it took it out of the sweet spot, as it was geared at 3.73. However, the funny thing with the 6.8, not just in the van, but even F-350s, is towing, larger tires, etc makes...

This selling for $40k (not near as nice- pitiful tire/wheel combo) this week doesn't hurt either...

    '13 E-350 EB Clydesdale 4x4

I just figure a straight 13, but varies from 12-14. A bit tough compared to the Navion averaging 20, but apples/oranges. It is funny actually, as the 150 got 14-16 most of the time, the PW never saw double digits. So for a huge brick that weighs several tons, the mpg vs it's versatility, towing...

    '13 E-350 EB Clydesdale 4x4

New 6" springs installed, and went with a new set of Bilsteins as well- all is as it should be!! Ride greatly improved compared to even before weight added!! Cannot pry the kids out of the back with the Siena seats, and the van is now the 'go to' vehicle! Will likely see DD duty- and it fits in...

    Living in a Land Rover

For what it's worth, consider the pre '92 Suburbans with beam axles, or consider a retired ambulance in 4x4, or a Disco. The D-I is easier to work on, and more reliable. But, the extra 10" of interior length in a D-II is premium real estate for sleeping/living... There is a consistent theme to...

Ram 3500 with 6.4L Hemi or not?

Engine wise: The gassers have evolved since '68 when the first round of emissions created the 'air pump', then '75 cats were mandated. Point being, gassers have had near 50 years of emission evolution/research/refinement, and are amazing today while being considerably more environmentally...
