Not sure how many have seen the movie Thor but there is an amazingly cool Pinz featured as the main vehicle! That HAS to belong to someone on here!?! Me likey!! :)
So I was flipping through a German 4x4 magazine and stumbled across something neat. EXPENSIVE... but still cool! I don't read German but I did find their website so if anyone is looking to spend some big duckies or feel they need to upgrade the already greatest winch ever... give it a look. Very...
Hey guys...
I went for the first time to wonder around a store here in Germany called OBI which is sort of like the German version of Home Depot/Lowes. I mostly just went to browse around and see what kind of stuff people use in Europe for construction etc. I also had to pick up some little this...
Hey guys,
I found a local German shop that is going to help me with tubing for my roof rack. I need to get my Technitop RTT out of my room and on the jeep! Lol! Unfortunately, the instructions that came with the tent are... Lame? So since i am creating the mounting point from scratch i could use...
Hi Guys,
I just got to German (Grafenwohr/Bavaria) and I need help. Does anyone know of a fabrication shop or some place that could bend some tubing for me? I need to make a roof rack for My Scrambler but I need the tubing bent for me. I brought my welder and plasma etc.. but have no way to make...
I'm still in the thinking stages of a roof rack for my CJ8. Being that the full hardtop is fiberglass I don't think it would live with a roof rack/RTT/whatever all piled on it so I'm gonna do my own. To that end I have a few questions..
I've been looking at all sorts of racks...both in person...
This may be a dumb question to those that are good with electricity...I'm not one of those...
Is there anything that could be installed to a 12V battery to step the power up to 24V? Some kind of reverse inverter...? Uh...something?
Calling all Xterra owners...Could you guys please give me some feed back on weather you think the '00-04 seats are comfy? Have you been happy with the ride and durability...how are long drives? How supportive are they in the off road? Please drop me any opinions...Thanks!!!
I stumbled across something that has been a source of thought for me. It is a simple concept that I have found very handy. This led to me wondering what else may be out there that folks have found that have made their lives a little easier or more convient while camping. I'd be interested in...
Hi all...
I have orders to get stationed in Germany and wondered if anyone here knows of places or sources to buy stuff Expo related over there? Everything from an RTT (eventually) to Vehicle parts and stuff. Any thoughts, even random one's are appreciated! Thanks in advance!
So I have to wonder if someone on here isn't looking to score a new project? Found this neat, if not a little unusual, Army Surplus M944A1 on the Gov.Liquidation site. Suddenly there is a GINORMOUS bid dropped on it! Just curious if someone here was on it? Here is the linkey...
Strange question guys (and gals)? Does anyone know if there is a difference in Scepter fuel cans for gas vs diesel? I was passing several in the motorpool last night and the thought struck me that they all say simply "fuel"?? Does it matter as long as one knows what they have in it?
So I have been dreaming about RTTs for a while and had a strange thought. All of the ones I see that are essentually a Tent based unit have a soft cover. With the exceptions of the obvious AH and its vertical lift and the flip-pacs...
So why doesn't anyone make a hard "turtle shell" type cover...
Not mine...just saw it on NM CL. Says its a military trailer but something looks...funny(?) about it? Still could be useful and 300 bucks isn't that much.

I hear that the air lines tend to be the weak link in running an ARB. Good routing and careful placement are understood. And I got that there is a pretty cheap repair kit available.
I have a question a little off all that. Since the line is not much more than some plastic tubing what if I ran...
So being an electrical nimrod...can someone explain somthing to me please?
If one had a diesel truck like my 99 Dodge with its 2 12v batteries...Would it be even possible to wire in a couple 24v offroad lights from the existing system? Kinda a dumb/odd question but I have a pair of military off...
