    Lowest profile RTT mounting?

Here are some closer views of the ultra low-profile mounting system. This configuration looks great, eliminates all wind noise and provides a much more stable base for the Tepui tent.

Genesis Dual Battery System: Install Photos

I've gotta say, I can't get over how impressive the Genesis system is. I'm installing the G Screen monitor into my A pillar next week. I've added a LOT to my Jeep, and I think this might be the best addition of them all. The two breakers are for 1) a 12v extension cable that runs to my rear...

    Lowest profile RTT mounting?

I bolted my Tepui tent directly onto my Rhino Rack platform. I made sure to use a bolt configuration that is perfectly square, so I can rotate the tent open to the side or the rear of the Jeep. I have an AEV 3.5" DualSport SC suspension and a windshield light bar. I agree with jscherb and...

    Quick Shelves for Camp Kitchen

I usually just remove the rails, since they connect with just a single nut each. But yesterday I had to breakdown camp in the rain, so I got lazy and drove home three hours with the rails on. I may just leave them on, since they blend into the ladder. During the weekend, I also learned that...

2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with J30 (gobirubicon)

Here's an action photo for a second token - the Gobi is my buddy's Jeep so I blurred his plate. We use conduit tubes on our roof racks for our fishing gear.

2017 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon with J30 (gobirubicon)

I just noticed this thread - here is a photo of a 2016 Mojave Sand Rubicon next to a 2017 Gobi Rubicon. What do I win? :)

Pressurize my AEV bumper tanks? Need some advice!

I saw a post where someone used onboard air to pressurize the AEV bumper tanks that hold 4.8 gallons of water. I'd like to pressurize mine, but use my portable 12V compressor instead. I think it would be straightforward to punch a hole in the tank cap and add a spare tire air valve into it...

Question for JKers with a roof rack.

Yep. Vinyl sounds better than mp3s, FM sounds better than Sirius, and the fresh coffee brewed by Benjamin Franklin 250 years ago tasted better than freeze-dried insta-serve Keurig packs. What were we talking about again? Roof racks?

Question for JKers with a roof rack.

Well, if it makes you feel any better, the crew I hired to install my Maximus-3 rack DID use the relocation bracket and the satellite reception is still terrible if there is a single tree within 500 feet of my Jeep. At least they told me they DID use the bracket . . .

Question for JKers with a roof rack.

I think the AEV rack is the same design as Rhino Rack (may actually be made by Rhino Rack). I use the Kargo Master steps and a fixed ladder that is made by Maximus-3. Rhino Rack produces this roof rack for them. Might not be a perfect fit on an AEV rack, and the ladder requires a permanent...

    Quick Shelves for Camp Kitchen

jscherb convinced me to post up some of my designs here. Stay tuned for more to come! PS - I tried to change my user name so it matches on every forum, but it doesn't look like that is an option. So I guess I have to stick with BostonJKU here.

    Quick Shelves for Camp Kitchen

Here's a photo of the shelves in action. Field test went well. Am very happy with this design!

    Quick Shelves for Camp Kitchen

Thanks - are the "speed clips" part of the bracket support? Or a separate item? I couldn't tell from the photos. My brackets are the ones that came with the wire shelves. The shelves snap into the brackets very tightly - it actually takes a pretty hard push to get them back out.

    Quick Shelves for Camp Kitchen

These shelves set up in less than three minutes and hang from the channel in the back of my Sunseeker canopy. They provide some nice extra horizontal surfaces under the canopy.
