Thanks Mr Ozment,
Like a pickup truck itself, life is full of compromises! We actually explored the drawer extension issue a few times and at this point the cost entailed to achieve another 10" or so of extension just doesn't pencil with our goal of keeping our costs as affordable as possible...
Joronimo!
Thanks for the proverbial throwing of the hat into the ring. DECKED in a 6-6 bed leaves about 10" if you put a short system in. A couple of the shallower toolboxes do work w DECKED like the DeeZee 8170. The system is 12" tall.

Thanks for your response TeamDoty. Unfortunately we don't make an 8' version! People do put the standard bed length version (6'6") in the 8' bed. But it's a bit of freestyle that goes on to make it work.
Hey PatOz,
No offense taken at all. You're tough customer. We can say to begin that the people who have the DECKED system LOVE it. We recently got 600+ responses to a survey sent to 3000 customers who had purchased directly from us in the past 2 years. Of the 600 we had an average satisfaction...
Best comment in this forum ever.
Tacoma: A product we haven't released because we enjoy the frustration it creates. Not yet. We will have it as soon as possible.
That's a great looking truck and a killer set up! As mentioned further down in this thread, GEN 1 Tundra's don't fit our product as they are too narrow in the bed at the tailgate end. It is sort of possible, but less than ideal.
Thanks for the interest!

Hey Wheelsup,
It's a matter of molding and massive tooling costs that prevent us from creating a GEN 1 Tundra solution. The rear of the GEN 1 Tundra bed is simply narrower than our overall system width. Ironically, my dad drives that same vehicle and I can't even give him a nice father's day...
Unfortunately the flareside does this weird thing where it cuts into the bedspace and where our system would need to have its vertical supports. Sorry!
Hey Chet6.7,
People do actually use half a system and put it in place just as you mentioned. It's popular for the added headroom on the non-drawer side for bikes and height allowances. We don't sell half systems but it can be done.
Thanks,
DECKED
You know it! As you saw on the video a quad is no problem at all. The deck has a true 2000 lb payload. There is a steel subframe with between six and seven (depending on bed length) lateral steel 1"x1/2" tubes which run laterally through the deck. Over 30% of the total system weight is actually...
Mikekey,
Unfortunately the way the RAM box works, it cuts into the bed space and does not allow our system a place to rest to do the load-bearing as well as provide an anchor for the drawer c-channels. We wish there were a solution and maybe someday we will come up with something. Thanks for...
You can actually get T-Tracks from us which screw to the steel tubing in the deck and allow compatibility with the full range of Yakima, Thule and other roof-mounted bike racks.
