Will do Kurt. On a side note what are your thoughts on the "stock" hieght OME kit? I am wanting a suspension that helps drivability and capacity without making it alot taller for dd use. From what I read this kit adds about 3/4" to the hieght. I run the OME heavy on my taco but it's a completely...
Kurt your right it was a special order. It was ordered from Broadway Toyota in Portland Oregon. No 3rd row, no sliding windows in back and cloth. I have the original window sticker in the records book. It listed for a whopping $46,359.00 in '97! What's fun is going back in time to this...
Been running a 96 reg cab since 2004. It has been on alot of long trips. I am rebuilding the truck now from top to bottom. Xcab would be nice sometimes to have more in cab storage and organization, But offroad ability of reg cab is better.
Well its been a few days of long hours in the saddle and awesome little road trip nuggets. We are in Atlanta and will be home tomorrow finally. I have been in 10 states so far, 22 parks and covered 2300 miles. One more state and about 450 miles left.
We had a blast on the 4th in the Blackhills...
Well trip is going ok and more important the cruiser is nicer then the picks!
After leaving I hit the emporium in down town victor for a huckleberry shake. The are famous apparently.....very delish.
I left at 6 for jackson and once at the top of the pass I stopped for a vanity shot and the...
So a few weeks ago in the midst of moving, starting a new job and trying to build a new shop space my 02 suburban decided to up and die. After 240k miles of great reliable service I can't complain.
The past 2 weeks I drove rentals. The first one was wiped out by a kids drivi,g behind me not...
When I got my 96 taco I ran without lockers and it taught me how to drive really well and pick lines. Once I added arb's front and rear it took things to another level. But since my 96 is my extreme use truck I do not have plans to push this cream puff. So I will probably put an arb in the rear...
No diff locks but honestly for what they sell for in this condition they are not Worth it imo. A friend of mine has a full get up with axles, wiring harness, etc he will sell me for 1k for a swap. However I will probably just put in the ARB units since these axles are a bit stronger.
So I finally broke down and pulled the trigger on my second Toyota a 1997 FZJ80. This one is a 1 owner with 100,000 miles. Super clean garage kept. This is one of the cleanest I have seen and once it came up I jumped on it. I will be Flying from Tampa out to Idaho Falls to drive it back on...
we use a paco pad on top of a roll a cot in our oztent. Paco pads on the ground are still good.
We are gong to add another rv 4 next and connect them together so kids can be in thier own space at night.
i was through there years ago I am meeting with a friend to help him plan a trip through that area, I will go through my notes and let you know. We had one spot in particular that we likes which had tent and rv camping with a great view down a hill to the lake. We still talk about it even though...
I have one it was the spare on my tacoma. never saw the road just mounted under the truck in factory location. I recently bought a new set and have this one in the garage.
I would go with an unlimited Rubicon manual with dual top option then add half doors and seat heaters. If buying New. But my fav jeep is the 04-06 unlimited.
Well another update got a few more things done. Finished the brakes on the rear axle, and took apart the rear Old man emu spring packs to refurbish them. A few before and afters.
New brakes
Completed axle
Old man emu leaf pack...ouch
Springs and wheels getting ready for paint.

You probably did see me out by or on the river. My family has owned the canoe rental company since it started in 1991. I was part of it till 3 tears ago. Family dynamics can be really hard to deal with and it was my time to go for reasons of sanity lol. It was for sure the only Snorkeled...
Lol it never stops. Good news is the "big" projects will . however the small things will always be evolving as you refine your skills, needs and desires. For me right now it is about going through the entire truck and geting it back in true expo shape. Enjoy it for the summer and fall then maybe...
