These panels are laminated with polyester resin... Five gallons of the stuff came back from Red Cannon with the Jeep... It stinks, it goes off fast, it's not as strong, but for this application, it's fine... I prefer Resin Research Epoxy from FiberglassSupply.com for most projects, it's worth...

16 - Redwood Ceiling (above) The ceiling will be redwood... From Jeffro, a collector and connector of wood... He gave me a dozen, 3x8x14' railroad water tank, barrel staves... Clear, old growth California Redwood, cut at least 100 years ago... Milled straight with a bead and cove, keyed...

16 - Window Prep... (above) Day Job... (above) Window prep...The roof cabin edge has to be waterproof... Painting plywood ain't good enough... So, the opening is taped with packing tape (plastic) then fiberglassed on the other side... The plastic releases clean... (above) Taped and ready...

15 - Roof Window Forever I have loved roof windows... Old Land Rovers, VW busses, Old Land Cruisers, even school busses... Classic... (above) Via eBay I found a pair of these... Cheap... Shipping and glass delivered was under $100... Here, you can see the dented frame that was on both...

I'm not too picky about plywood... This 1/2" is the $31 cabinet grade stuff at Home Depot... Lately Baltic Birch plies seem brittle with fracturing glue... Used to be more resilient...

14 - Sink and Stove Layout (above) Layout lines for the sink and stove are highlighted in red on the plywood... Making the faucet fit in the corner was a priority... There will be a step in the countertop to allow a cutting board/stove cover, become flush with the sink countertop... (above)...

End of week update... The propane locker is now fully fiberglassed, vapor proof and painted gloss white on the inside... The water tank had more fiberglassing done and is about half way done... More progress this weekend... The roof got two more coats of epoxy rolled on and glass for the 45...
